Are there any other deluxe editions planned?

Pure Rain, the true remaster

.

It will have decent dynamics as well as decent packaging; perhaps even more unreleased material.

Has anyone noticed the rather flimsy quality of the discs themselves???

I've had three copies and all of them had at least one pinhole (CD Rot) in them...right out of the wrapping.

I'm used to seeing these pinholes in CDs 20 years or older (or have been through a lot of abuse). I had to replace my Batman CD because of it.

I've never encountered this with a newly manufactured CD. It's a little disconcerting.

Fortunately, it's not affecting the playback.

Yet.

If the aluminium (aluminum in some parts of the world) has holes in the very thin layer, then what about the lacquer that goes on top of that?

I like my japanese version of the album:

-each disk is portected by a plastic cover

-lyrics of songs from the vault

"Money won't buy U happiness but it'll pay 4 the search."

Which is why I ripped the whole thing to WAV.

With the art on the discs themselves the way it is, the aluminum layer is more exposed to light. (Similar to the original issue). It's bad enough the discs come in scratch-prone cardboard digipaks. I understand the environmental impact of jewel cases, but at least it wouldn't scratch the discs when simply storing them.

In our neighborhoods we can recycle plastic which is collected in separate bins.

I agree with the idea that a jewel case is better storage.
