Despite my doubts pre-release WB did a fine job with the Purple Rain remaster/expansion IMO.

Do folks reckon we'll get further remasters/expansions? 1999 and Dirty Mind would be top of my list, there must be some great tracks in the vault from these days. An official release of the full length The Gold Experience would also be superb.

I think 1999 is a pretty fair presumption. I imagine that a reliable means of predicting what will come next or what MAY come next would be largely based on sales figures. A few other variables that may come into play might include:

-Potential for an outtake/from the vault disc. Or potential for a vault disc that is capable of generating some interest.

-Consideration of Prince's core audience demand/album legacy. (This would likely come into play in a situation where, for example, the estate was deciding between taking on a Sign O The Times remaster or a Diamonds and Pearls remaster. Diamonds and Pearls outsold Sign O The Times [basing this on feeluupp's post from 2014] but Sign O The Times has FAR LESS diminished public interest since the release. To be fair, I'm assuming my last statement to be true.

-Impact of remaster on sound quality. (This is likely a very minor variable but it's worth considering. There's probably considerably more demand for Prince albums that could OBVIOUSLY benefit from a remaster. For example, in a truly bizarre scenario used entirely to demonstrate a point in which the Come album was announced as the next remaster I would be much less likely to buy it because the album already sounds great.)

Anyways, my entirely unoriginal prediction for the next remaster is 1999. I'm pretty sure there's a bit of a consensus forming among fans that that's next. Following that? My guess (if only for the sake of guessing) is Sign o The Times but what do I know. I'm thrilled at the idea of 1999 coming next! One of my favorites. Probably top 3.

I'm personally most hopeful/excited for Dirty Mind, 1999, Sign O The Times, and Lovesexy as far as remastering the pre-existing album tracks goes.

As far as potential from the vault discs go, I'm most hopeful/excited for Parade and Sign O The Times. I'll also list Dirty Mind (if just for Strange Way! Need that song. It was taken down from youtube awhile back), as well as Graffiti Bridge given the indefinably slim possibilty of whoever's in charge releasing the 1989 Rave Unto the Joy Fantastic album alongside it.

1999 is probably more likely, but I hope SOTT comes first just for all of the outtakes and Dream Factory tracks that were never released

Me too, and although both of them could benefit from a remaster, 1999 is to me the album that could benefit from it the most.
