Why was the CD ONE NITE ALONE FROM PRINCE PULLED FROM TIDAL?

Hey Prince fans, I currently subscribe to Tidal and downloaded at the time all if the Prince albums. Then here just a week to a week and a half ago I noticed two of the album's we're pulled from Tidals site. I don't understand why this happened because I am a paying customer just like a lot of you guys are as well. Well the album's that we're pulled the titles of the album's goes like this. Emancipation, Musicology, and my biggest gripe was an album called ONE NITE ALONE BY PRINCE. I can't understand why they did it and they gave no reason for this to be done. And from what I had read that Prince was pretty much had a deal with TIDAL to sell his music because he got a percentage up front. So I emailed Tidal and I was told that they were unaware of this happening. So what they wanted me to do was this, give them the names of the album's titles and plus the name of each song not only from each but also the names of each song. I don't think it's right for them to do this especially when people pay for his music in which he got money and he didn't get upset as far as I know with TIDAL. But to me if you release a album even if it's from a vault and no complaints was filed why drop the music and if they (Tidal) was told to drop those three Albums why not inform the subcribers and let them know. Just for kicks I looked up this title One Nite Alone With Prince on another website that sells music either by MP3 or vynl or cd. This CD cost a whopping $474 and some change. So what I am wondering has anyone heard from Tidal or what in the world is going on? I would be glad to know if any huge Prince FANS has heard anything. Thanks for letting me vent. Hope to hear from some big time Prince Music Lovers out there. Peace out, May you Live to see the Dawn. sad

If I was a Tidal subscriber, I'd demand an answer from them. Have you tried contacting them to get an answer?

That's ridiculous. That album and the other club releases is why I joined for awhile. I also think it sucks because it is a rarely heard Prince LP that showcases his versatility. They at least should give an explanation. Are One Night Alone Live, Chocolate Invasion, and The Slaughterhouse still available?

Tidal can be kinda funny when they file stuff, and just when you found it, they refile it, sheeesh… you might find: Prince & The New Power Generation, NPG, The NPG, Prince & NPG…. as well as other variations on the same name all with different albums attached to them, that has been my experience. You just have to hunt around. I did see Slaughterhouse and Chocolate Invasion on Tidal for sale today. I couldn’t find ONA.

I bought 2 of the 3 Ona when they were on tidal...I haven't been able to stream them since the lawsuit started...emancipation, crystal ball, joy unto, musicology, and 3121 also disappeared from my iPad and pc app about the same time. I was able to stream them on my android app until this spring and now they have disappeared from there as well. They still appear on my listing of albums but when I try to play them, I get a content no longer available message.

I've been frustrated until recently when I discovered that my local library has a good collection of prince cd's and some still have the liner notes with them. So, I've been checking them out on a rotating basis and I'm back n business..the only
one that I don't have access to now is the Ona that I didn't purchase..I'm keep hoping that they will reappear so I can stream...it is just more convenient and flexible...

And, I am buying the ones that tidal has that no one else does.

I joined tidal cuz they had all prince's music in the beginning. I bought the Black Album and others i couldnt find elsewhere for years, or for some ridiculous amount of money. I dont stream generally. I joined to buy the music. And this reminds me i better get back and buy the rest of the stuff i want before its gone forever.

I am able to access thd stuff I paid for despite it not being avalible to stream. Tidal has been rotating the catalog around since material came on to the platform. I do not think it has anything to do with the lawsuit I think It has something to do with contract. I would suggest that everyone buy material because his deal with Tidal will end by a the specified end date or a court order.
