I've heard it and it's listenable, but nowhere near a perfect soundboard.

I love and appreciate these releases. But, the "Soundboard" term is being totally overused now. A lot of songs on this release are not "Soundboard'. Better quality than before, but not Soundboard.

What I'm saying is I don't believe every bootleg that says "Soundboard" is soundboard. Either the label is being dishonest or incorrect about the source of the audio. Being an Audio Engineer, I can tell the difference between a Soundboard source Audio and Fan Recorded with Noise reduction in post-production.

The Benefit Show doesn't sound like Soundboard sourced audio, as it's labeled.

I've heard similar soundboard shows. Example: Atlanta '85.

I'm loving the Purple Rain Benefit show from Santa Monica. The sound is excellent. Interesting to hear Eric Leeds all over.

The real Eye Records versions (lossless rip) is out there now.

Boston Metro show is much better than the previously circulating version, not much difference with Rainmaker.

I like the Linndrum jam, I wonder what one earth the purpose of it is? I wonder are there literally a thousand hours of stuff like this in the vault as he slowly worked songs out? you could probably use it to heavily criticise Prince as well though, 'all his songs are just the same bloody beat!'

As I listen to the LinnDrum jam, I question the authenticity. I'm not saying that it is not Prince, I'm saying I don't hear anything that confirms for me that it is Prince. Could Lisa be playing the keys?

It was circulating in a fourm before eye got a hold of it. A small number of people had it. Its a solo prince recording. Its 100 percent him playing. If that helps.

I love the concert, but according to the first FLAC version leaked I find the recording somewhat frustrating to listen with all the sound imperfections (just listen to the beginning of "Pop Life", all seems to crash). An update on what we already have, but not that listenable.
