How are we supposed to live without that in the world?

Love it…but the best guitar player on stage doesn't have one. Gimme three less horns and Prince on guitar.

I'd take this any day of the week, though.

Haha, I uploaded that video. Had no idea Prince's brother shared it, but was wondering about the plethora of comments coming through recently.

Excellent. What a coincidence. I had just watched this show last week. Love the big dude playing trombone. Looks like hes having so much fun. Is this the show at the end he makes some odd comment that he hasnt been doing well lately? I watch so many videos its hard to keep them all straight. Anyway, it was very touching, he even seemed a bit emotional. I shed a few tears myself. ❀ Prince

Funk at its best. While I'm not crazy about the amount of covers Prince was doing late into his career, he never stopped being fonkee!

You can just listen to the new one and compare them yourself.

"Days of Wild" is kinda like "Shhh".

You'd be hard pressed to decide which live version is the best.

Days of Wild and Shhh , those songs are so good, and so unavailable to the general public...IT sucks. The estate needs to get those songs out there on Spotify or on sale for affordable prices. I got them off tidal when they were on there.

Crystal Ball costs 217 dollars used on amazon.

The Gold Experience costs 50 bucks used on Amazon.

I think Spotify, I-tunes etc would actually suit later prince music better. I think downloading or purchasing his best singles rather than buying whole albums that are a bit inconsistent in quality and that are overpriced on Amazon should be an option..

I dunno, since his passing I love the peaks and valleys more. A failed experiment by Prince will always be worth the listen. And he's an album artist, no matter what. 20Ten has been a very pleasant recent discovery, and is now like a new Prince album to me. Hit'n'Run phase II is very good. But I don't feel like cherry-picking now that there is nothing left but time... to really listen.
I can understand that taking a whole hour nowadays is difficult, but albums matter.

I do tend to listen to entire Prince albums (at least inititally) but I still think the option to listen to the best songs of the 90's rather being forced to buy overpriced (imported) albums of inconsistant quality should be available (if anything to establish an interest in his later work)

Yes... but if one follows evolution of 'Shhh' in live performances, will notice that it just got better & better...

Prince was just doing his thing, sharing that love and making the world a much funkier, better place. We'd be hard pressed to find anyone even remotely close. What a deeply, creative, inspiring, prolific musical genius. His message lives on.

I got to say it’s pretty cool how he let the band shine at these Montreux shows. And the horn section at these shows was tight!
