Pharrell Williams powerful tribute to Prince: "He warped the universe"

Check out the following video produced by "OTHERtone on Beats 1" entitled "PRINCE Tribute by Pharrell and Scott Vener".

"Pharrell Williams and Scott Vener pay tribute to Prince, discussing their experiences with the artist, his music, and legacy."

Here it is:

That's right. This wasn't Prince's first go-round. His soul had already lived other lives prior to this one. That's why he was born with such courage and a knowing of what to do, AND a love for God from the beginning.

Thanks, once again, Latin for reminding us of how many greats were touched by Prince. I saw this when it originally aired, and it made me feel good knowing that so much of Prince is left in so many people.

I like that they acknowledge how Prince created his own universe and that most of his work focused on love.

Thanks for posting that, Latin! They did a great job of expressing how far-reaching Prince's work was and the effect his music had on people.

They call Alabama the Crimson Tide, call me Deacon Blue

That was so touching to hear them honor him with such praise... He touched so many hearts with his music in just 57 years.

These articles make me so happy for him. He deserves every bit of admiration and respect he's given. I just wish he was here to receive it, I hope he knew how much he and his music meant to so many people, I hope he felt every bit of the love others had for him.
Last night i was watching his performance of Electric Intercourse at First Ave in the early 80's and literally wept for having the opportunity to witness such a beautiful thing. It was as if he was in another dimension, he was taken over by the words and music and the instrament was playing him as much as he was playing it...so powerful, emotional, intimate and he allowed us to share those moments with him. Incredible.

...there will never again be the likes of Prince. I don't think most folks really understand what we lost. I suck at words. I can't even describe it enough to give my point the justice it deserves.

I read something maybe 2 months after he passed that Sheila said- something like"He knew he was loved, he felt loved. But I think even he would be surprised at the outpouring from all over the world"
I'm paraphrasing from what I remember, but this was the idea.
I'm a heathen, so I have no real belief what happens to souls when they pass....BUT if any soul in our existence has the magic to keep being present and aware, it's his. I have a feeling he knows how much love he is getting. At least I really hope he does...he deserves to know how many of us he lit up.

No he didn't " warp the universe" as I lived for 2 years in the Philippines & they had no clue who Prince was but they knew who Justin Bieber, john Cena, michael Jackson, Elvis etc. was....I tried playing the Prince music...showing folks....they didn't find it appealing.....I was in my own warped universe there for 2 years lol.

I still say the Pharrell produced "Change Clothes" song by Jay-Z is a Prince/Prince-inspired song!

I'm sure of it!
