It sounds a lot like White Horse, but i don't mind either way, both are great songs and that's all i care about.

And it's pure coincidence that it sounded like Laid Back's "White Horse" which was already a club hit. Sure.

Yeah, his uncreative, talentless self HAD to steal their shit to make a hit

Prince was known to tailor history to suit his needs.

Nothing wrong with him hearing White Horse or genius and being inspired. He was a product of the times.

And he was human, after all.

No, Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club are not the same band.

Yes they are...lmao! The only difference is Tina is the Vocalist. I guess if you wanna get Technical David isn't in the group, but that is accomplished by him going backstage at shows. Have you not scene Stop Making Sense. Either Way Genius of Love is The Tom Tom Club.

I've always considered The Beatles and Wings as the same band. I guess - if you want to get technical - John, George and Ringo weren't in Wings (and some other people where) but that was accomplished by the cessation of The Beatles as a touring entity in 1966, and the death of their Brian Epstein in 1967, meaning the Beatles were personally involved in financial and legal conflicts, and conflicts arising from differences in artistic vision. Either way, Mary Had A Little Lamb (the real inspiration for Erotic City) is The Beatles... lol
