Said it before, will say it many times more, I'm sure: Josh Homme...and QOTSA.

I would have loved to see Prince collaborate with Martin L. Gore, of Depeche Mode. There are so many others, but MLG and Prince would have been friggin' amazing!!

.

Just curious, who would you have loved to see collaborate with Prince?

Wow that's cool, Dave Gahan would also be interesting.

.

Certainly MLG would have been an intensley creative collaboration.

I once heard of Prince thinking of doing a duet with Mcartney. My reaction was its cool but i wouldnt want to hear it. Never liked Pauls voice.

That would have been awesome, i love Paul. A collaboration with MGMT or Tame Impala.

Kate Bush. love

Once again that is. This time I would love to hear her voice better than what happened on My Computer (the song), her voice is so low, burried in the mix, sad....

Also Why Sould I Love U.... this song works better....

Both artists = phenomenal.

No one really. I don't think he collaborated particularly well with other big names. To much ego? He did ok with lesser know people that he could shape in his own image.

The wooh is on the one!

Yeah, I agree, I think he liked to be in control, so when he worked with the likes of Madonna he couldn't control it all, he produced more interesting work with the likes of Martkia, who he could guide and influence, but they could feed in their talent.

Some people writing Stevie Ray Vaughn... I guess that would be one of the hardest for P to do, as SRV would play him under the table. SRV does Jimi better than Jimi.

My collaboration wish: with me of course biggrin

Good one! cool I'd go for a proper collaboration with Meshell Ndegeocello (not counting the jam between them that spawned "Emale")

I've always liked Brand New Heavies with N'Dea in it. smile

If he had lived long enough, I think a duet with Elvis Presley would have been nice. Maybe Karen Carpenter too.

Prince loved the ladies, I'm surprised he never knocked microphones with Debbie Harry, they could have done something cool.

You got a point here.

Another one I was thinking about for a great duet is the late Freddy Mercury. They would have made it great together live on stage. I once read that Prince used to watch Queen concerts on video for relaxation. Good taste.

I was enjoying reading the nominations for collaboration, but I was thinking all along what you wrote. There is a reason he mostly collaborated with those less established. A Bowie/Prince collaboration would have been supreme, but I don't think Prince could share the limelight with someone of Bowie's stature. I think Prince needed to always be The Boss. And there is no fault in that.

With Maluma, that would have been interesting both of them sing sexual explicit lyrics.
