Well, I guess I will post my age, first post although I lurk often. As a retired musician, I love to read the various opinions especially since I have heard his music since he began recording. I am 74; will be 75 on June 30.

Yes and so glad to have seen and lived through so many events in the 21st century. Others have to read about what we witnessed... like the famous Rick James openers; big time news. Love you young folk!

I'm 49!

Funny though - I introduced my 14 year daughter to appropiate Prince the last couple of months.

She was listening to "Black veil brides" metail eek Soething had to be done.

Now her and her friends are listening to Prince. Singing the songs and asking me about the music.

It's been surprising how much they dig "My name is Prince" biggrin I love it.

My daughter is doing a paper on "My way back home" next week.

I turned 17 on April 15, 1984, the year I discovered Prince. They tell me I'm 50, but nope I'm still 17 especially when I hear Prince.

Goodnight, sweet Prince.

Thanks. It was Prince who influenced my thinking about age.I remember in 1998, on BET, he said "People ask me what it feels like to turn 40 and I say I don't know because I'm still 17. And I'm still gonna jump off the piano!"

Goodnight, sweet Prince.

He's absolutely right. I stopped thinking about age somewhere in my 30s...and even went through years where I forgot how old I was (really!). But, it wasn't until a couple of years ago that I started feeling "older" when institutional ageism reared it's ugly head. Something I never thought about a couple of years ago... You can't let society dictate your "age" or you truly will get "old." Mentally.
