If Purple Rain was released in the 1986 would it have been as successful?

Did it matter when in the 80s Purple Rain was released, would always have been a hit? I almost feel like had it been released later, like in '86, it would have been even more succesful due to less competition.

A certain kind of mellow.

that depends on whether you are using a linear or logarithmic version of time.

if we were on a logarithmic version of time we'd probably be halfway through Thieves In The Temple by now, but I am sure you can correct me as I am only approximating via the medium of emotion and not pure quantum mechanics

It came out at the perfect time and the perfect zeitgeist. Yes I know Ghostbusters and gremlins in all that were all the rage but this was a perfect time and it was needed in anything after would've been real different and less powerful. It coming at that moment is the reason why things happened in 85 and 86 all over culture

plus there is no accounting for the Army of th Twelve Monkeys factor that says if the moon takes 28 days to orbit the earth it is transposable up 30+ octaves to achieve a frequency of 443.184693121 recurring, so Purple Rain can and only will have been number 1 in 84 because 69 3121.

It is a quantum singularity which can be repeated!

Show me a feynmann number which is 443.186693121693121 and I'll show you the moon!
