I have known about them or at leats some version of all of them. And have heard most of (a version) of most of them.

One issue I see is some people who have most of these and if one of the shows is a re-release of Syracuse... then some will not be willing to spend as much $ on the set and the average fan may not be willing to pay more that $40... if all they want is Purple Rain then the full set may not be worth it for the "remaster."

Which is why I said I thought there would be a stand alone CD (maybe a 2 CD set with 1 and 2) and one with the 3 cds and one with all 5. (maybe a even more limited special set).

I think it is so cool that Militant got this info first! Literally, a worldwide scoop that is being picked up all over the place! But to be honest, I rather have no edits and more alt versions. (Like one cd of official and unofficial alt version) and one of the unreleased songs... but guess what? I am pretty sure to get 2 of these anyway!

So WB make us wait for a year for 1 disc of 'new' (old) material.

It appears they are still stuck in their `1 release per year mantra` that they did when LPs and CDs were relevant.

This means that, as I wrote before, you will never hear all -or at least a significant portion- of the unreleased music in the Vault or other P-related archives from an official release.

At this pace you need multiple lifetimes to even get close to such a goal.

The record company (or whatever WB does these days w.r.t. music) needs to understand that alternate structures exist to earn money from people with higher frequency releases.

What we do know, it was officially announced to having an June 9th release date. Here we are a little over an month from their stated release date, and we still don't have an official tracklist, price, packaging, or ever availability for pre order. Needless to say, fans has cause for concern how WB is rolling this out.

I am still thinking that the full reveal will be tomorrow (April 23) at the end of the Celebration. I suspect this was done at the request if the estate.

If not then sometime SOON! They are aware of the "leak" and their non-response is just that...

Yep, this is definitely possible.

However..... if that were to be the case, the other disc would have different ISRC codes.

The ISRC codes that sequentially follow all these songs have already been given to an upcoming country release by an artist named Chris Janson, and the ISRC codes that precede the PR Deluxe ones belong to Steve Earle & The Dukes (album called So You Wanna Be An Outlaw) - both scheduled for release in June 2017 also. That said, there are some codes in that general area that appear to be blank, and could have been earmarked for another Prince disc.

The other thing I want to quickly point out, is that I am slightly annoyed at the picture edit with the blue background, which was made by The Prince Museum and based on my original graphic. The problem is that they've added numbers before the song, indicating sequence.

I specifically did not include numbers in the original edit because there's no way of knowing that the order the songs were registered in is going to be the order they will appear on the set.

Dude, please just do some of this work yourself. Visit PrinceVault and write it up yourself and ask for input here. But almost "demanding" us to do this for you: not cool. Also: read this thread. Plenty of info already here.

Ever since reissues/remasters/deluxe editions etc started happening many artists and record companies have done this. Why won't it happen with Prince's material? The context for me making that comment of future releases was based on other people complaining that song X is not on this release. You're pretending this is some plan of them. It isn't. At this point Warners are trying to guess what balance to strike between investments and possible sales results. This is aggrevated by the fact Prince's estate is a mess and a bunch of chancers have already sold the rights to works they feel belong to them to another company in a suspect deal.

And even on a practical level: Prince's vault seems to have been in a completely unorganised state. So sourcing track X and then applying all required work to get it release-ready is not some cheap operation.

So I, like many, am dissappointed if Disc 2 comes out the way that it is listed here, but Disc 3 does look good. My big question is "why did they not officially announce this yesteday? and when will they get it announced officially and up for pre-order??
