Aww hell dawg, some people are still waiting on their Brr jackets.

No word of a lie, I'm still bitter about an Armiral Akbar figurine I ordered in back 1983. If it eventually turns up it'll be worth so much, I'll get charged duty by customs.

Sorry, I think they are buried out in New Mexico with E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

I had that damn game. It should've been buried prior to release.

Makes me shudder to remember the disappointment.

I've got mine hanging in the closet. Never wore it.

In keeping with tradition, Paisley Park and its partners absolutely will not ship products in a timely manner. razz

Quite comforting in a way. Annoying, yet familiar.

I picked up all the books at Celebration. The exclusive one is my least favorite. It is basically a history of the Celebration events in early 2000's and the Paisley Park After Dark parties. The guitar one has 40 different guitars and basses. The fashion one has about 50 outfits, some only shirts or jackets, jewely, sunglasses, ear cuffs, chain hats, etc. The tour book one has some construction photos and gives the history of how Paisley Park came to be. Lots of photos of Paisley Park from different periods, an album discography, and it also covers the different Celebrations. It also covers his passing and the days after.

Thanks for the info.

Are they just picture books or is there plenty of info accompanying the pictures?

All in all, a good set to have?

The guitar/bass book gives a short description of each guitar and bass, when it was obtained/used, the maker, and where it is located currently. Same with the fashion book, it tells which year the outfit is from and where it is at. I did notice a few mistakes on the year of the outfits. The other 2 books have a lot of text and photos. All of them are a must for me, but I guess it would depend on the person, but I would say a good set to have.

Is Prince wearing the outfits or holding the guitars in these pictures? Just wanted to make sure they aren't just pics of empty suits and free standing instruments

I don't think anyone's received their order yet, have they?

Real poor show, so far. One minute they did have shipping o/s US/Canada/Mexico for the PP tour books, then they removed that option a little later.

There should be a PP Shop sticky for people to share info on their PP purchases

What is the quality of books? Are they on nice thick paper and bound well? Nice layout and typography?

There are ways around the shipping issue - read further up the thread.

Prince is not wearing the outfits or using the guitars. I mean there are a few pics like that, but most are just the clothes and instruments taken by the Paisley Park archive team.

I guess the quality could have been a little better, but they are not like magazines. They are hard cover books. I didn't notice any flaws in mine.

These books aren't that expensive for hardcover. All but one are $35. I wish we could see inside to get a feel for what the content is like. Is it mostly a picture book? I still might order though I'm sure shipping will be crazy.

They have stories, pictures and a lot of details. They are beautiful and well worth the price. The photography has been done very well as has the writing.

Any chance of someone uploading a few photos each of all 4 books, incl. a few pages?
Thanks.

I love the man but pics of his stuff? Dang I was hoping it books of him wearing the outfits. Playing a certain instrument and then a pic of the instrument next to him. That would be awesome. Oh well glad you guys are happy with it. Saves me some money.

Actually I'm far more interested in seeing clear, close up photos of his musical instruments and studio gear – we have tons of photos of him already.
.
But as ordering these books from Europe is tricky, I'd be happy to see some photos first if someone would be so kind to help.

I just got back to the UK with all of the books in one heavy bag. They are great, but....PP told me yesterday that worldwide delivery options will be up, maybe this week.

Good news for those overseas, just bad for my back carrying them home!

Thanks! I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. I was hoping for a book of everything that is on the museum tour at this moment. I'm sure they will change things over time, displays and such. It would be nice to have some kind of document of what is there now.
