today's google image has a O+> on it!

go to google.com to see the O+> on one of the kid's shirt!

Now I am thinking it has more to do with being gender fluid...but still cool!

The pink & blue flag is for transgender people. They often use a mix of the male & female symbols, in varying degrees.

it was not that well known, and it is the same as the original symbol...

it did appear on an episode of Bewitched but it was definitely popularised by Prince.

LOL The symbol from 1983-1991/2 is quite the same, actually. ⚦ The flourish from the soapstone symbol showed up in 1992. Obviously yes the male and female symbols were around long before Prince adopted them in any fashion.

The Google doodle is a reference to the inclusion of trans people (or rather the whole LGBTQA community).

PS March 31 is also International Transgender Day of Visibility, dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide.

That is why there's a male-female symbol on the pink & blue shirt.

Let's face it. Prince was more transgender than people realize. I know some on here would disagree with that. It is part of what made him so sexy to women. Even guys couldn't stop staring at him. I bet there are some guys here that would take a bath for him if he asked them to.
