The Paisley Park Museum is turning into one almighty big CASH COW in my opinion!! Personally, I have my own Museum to Prince at home, with all his music both online and in physical form, plus all the memorabilia I have and of which I still collect, as well as all the memories of my years as a fan in my head!!! I feel that I dont have to spend thousands, of which I dont have, in air fares(I live in the UK), motels, tickets, ect. to visit this CASHING IN fiasco, then on top of that purchase 3 exclusive books, which are only available to VIP Celebration guests, which in my mind is a VERY cruel stunt to make people spend a small fortune to get VIP tix!!! Then, on top of that, why cant we in Europe and elsewhere in the world purchase any of the stuff online on the Museum site?? Why is it all only exclusive to the USA, Canada and Mexico????

I think, I prefer to stay at home with my own little Museum, of which I can browse through at my leisure instead of being quickly ushered around for only an hour and then have to listen to crappy tribute bands and his non-talent proteges!!!!

Just putting in my 2 cents, thats all!!! biggrin biggrin biggrin

Three things:

1. I'm pretty sure the Celebration book will be exclusive to those at the Celebration (based on info we received in an email and it's not just VIP because I am a mere commoner who will be attending and I was able to order one and where does it say VIP only for the books?), but I wouldn't be surprised if the clothing and instrument books are released to the general public shortly after the Celebration.

2. PP NEEDS to cash in to keep going. I don't know why this is so difficult for people to understand.

3. I'm with you on the international shipping. The prices would be exhorbitant (about which I'm sure you would complain), but hopefully it will be available worldwide soon. Keep in mind, the museum is only 6 months in at this point. Give it some time to figure things out.

There is only so much time and effort you can spend on something. And they're spending it on pointless books (and trinkets etc.) instead of music.

The people producing the book are not the same as those who will be releasing the music.
One effort does not take from another.

Just saw shipping to Europe is possible now. Filled me cart with 3 items and calculaties shipping, which resulted in 53$ eek shipping rate.

Even a shirt or tourbook has a minimum of 26$ which is even more than the product.

Emptied my cart.
Wonder why shipping is so expensive. I've ordered shirts from the US before with shipping rate of a few dollars. This makes ordering to Europe not worth while for me.

Tell us Bart, what are you spending your time and effort on? We know moaning and complaining, but surely you have done other things in the thirteen years I've (virtually) known you?

I bought the one they are selling on their website (the one specifically for The Celebration) but the other 2 are not on there, at least not yet. The instrument book sounds great.

.

Yes indeed! I'd buy that in a second. I was going to post a question about whether or not they'd be available on the website, but someone earlier made it clear they won't be. Damn. I hope they're available at some point. I want that instrument book on my shelf.

it's as simple as that BVH. Also dont hold your breath for any music [vault or otherwise] anytime soon..all seems very messy on that front.
