Btw, Kirk was at the Dakota Jazz gig with Shelby, Liv and Judith. Shelby posted a photo on her Instagram. Tk8bu.png

To me it seems they really are working hard to set a certain vibe.. Much appreciation.

They're doing what Prince would want. I'm sure he's up in heaven smiling knowing that all these people brought together by him are still friends and still connected in a big way. To me that is one of his biggest legacies.

Prince said in that 'lost' Rolling Stone interview from 2014 that he wanted to turn Paisley Park into a musuem.

"There's room for Purple Rain or the Super Bowl here," he notes of one empty space, murmuring something about eventually turning Paisley Park into a museum. It already seems a bit like one: a huge, dark, nearly empty space with only a skeleton crew on hand.

Some thoughts and questions after seeing this interview:
1. Is Kirk J gay? Serious question. And I am not asking for speculation, I'm asking if he is an out gay man. A simple yes or no if it's common knowledge. I don't feel like Googling it.
2. Does anyone find it interesting that for all the people that have come and gone in Prince's life over the years (managers, girlfriends, wives, band mates, Shiela) that Kirk J stuck around and was his buddy from the 80's until the day he died? I believe they met during the filming of PR.
3. That laughter and the "Kirk's Vault" comment tells me that there is a whooooole lot more to Prince's death than just a performer who was hurting from years of dancing and self medicating. Sure, that's the media narrative but it isn't the whole truth. And we will probably never get the whole truth. We'll only get knowing laughter from Kirk's vault.
4. I miss Prince.
I wish u heaven

How much does she really know though? I know she was his personal assistant. But wasn't she mostly out of England and turks and Caico's. I remember reading about a charity benefit P was thinking of doing in Texas for George MIchael. And phone calls were placed from GM's people to her in England. She wasn't in the same location as P.

I am sure she knew a lot about Prince and her leaving in 2014 after all those years working for P is a bit odd, but I have got to wonder how much she really knew about the last two years and how often she was actually in Paisley Park.

I can not read Kirk at all. He seems like either a clueless shill for the PP family/enabler or truely traumatized and attempting to be respectful of P's privacy.

He doesn't come off too bright, but then again, it could be his nerves. But he seems a bit he was the Lenny in Mice of Men to Prince's George. LOL>

This was an interview about nothing.

.

KJ probably knows more than most about Prince's life and work simply because he's been around that long and worked so closely with Prince.

.

The laughter was a "are you kidding? you seriously think I am gonna answer that question?" type of laughter.

.

A bit annoyed by the "oh he was a private person and I will take the knowledge to my grave" attitude from him and many associates and at the same time also admire their loyalty to Prince. He must have meant a lot to them. And then there is Mayte who wrote a book...but she doesn't owe Prince anything. He ditched her.

...every night another symphony...

Watch Purple Rain when Billy asks Prince

Prince: 'Nup"

Kirk was married and has some kids. I never heard anything about him being gay but he is a fitness trainer so who knows. I am not sure they were buddies in the 80s he has a small part in PR and remember even Taja Seville was around for PR and he worked with her on her Urban Farming non-profit right up until the end and don't forget Elisha Forillo. Some periphal people did get to hang around for a while. I remember someone side the other game boy was parking cars at Paisley Park events.

Anyone with a lick of sense can see there is more to his death than drugged out rock star. I am staring to believe this narrative was actually created by Prince to cover up some illness more so because he did not want the pity party or thought he could beat whatever it was. sad

Yeah, the lauging part is odd. The interview is telling in the sense we now officically know he is helping with the investigation. That gives me the vibe he knows a lot and perhaps has cut a deal/immunity.

Kirk had to know the subject of drugs/pills would have been addressed. He knows more and may not be allowed to say anything due to the investigation and to respect Prince's privacy. I feel like he hinted at verifying Prince had pain issues without directly saying it. Could just be me and I could be wrong.

I think the DEA/Carver County is trying to find the "big fish", the manufacturer of the drugs. That may be what is taking so long. Trying to go from lower tier suppliers to the high level manufactures. It takes time. Just my 2 cents.

I think you're absolutely right.

i havent read all the comments BUT

CBS were at paisly and I guess as he works there he took them on the tour and agreed to speak about his legacy. He probably told them what he would answere and what was off limits (Prince taught him well).

When they conducted the interview he responded and answered. whenm they went back on the agreement he had a nervous smile and a look that says WF?? i told you before and hence answered NEXT!

stop hating and think how hard it would be to be in his shoes for a change!

Again though I will say that this was not supposed to be about his death. I am sure when they went to Paisley is what to be an interview about the celebration not about the investigation or questions about pain over and over. CBS should have known that since this is an ongoing investigation NO ONE can comment on things, are they not aware of the LAW? The interview was very Entertainment Tonight caliber sadly.

On the other hand, on the topic of Kirk, something is up and there is a lot more to Prince's death than Hip Pain and a supposed surgery and the effects of doing splits and jumping off pianos. Fentanyl is the most powerful and lethal thing, as reported by doctors it is presribed for those recovering from chemo who are in pain, however, the body starts to almost not recognize the Fentanyl and the pain doesnt stop which would lead one in pain to take more, and since Fentanyl is the most addictive thing out there, that is a toxic combination.

We can all speculate and play monday morning quarterback with things like "someone should have been there" "intervention" etc...but this is not a typical case this is a 57 year old man not a 20 year old. and also a very powerful one with a lot of money, who easily could have said "get the hell out of here" to anyone. We do not know PRINCE's state of mind at all. We know the guy on stage, that is a small piece of who he was, very small actually. He was alone, and we do not and will never know the state of mind, health, death of Vanity, death of other icons over the last few years notably David Bowie, who knows what PRINCE was thinking or feeling, and taking something like Fentayl is the last thing he should have been doing.
