Rick and Morty reference

I was just watching Rick and Morty (Season 1, Episode 10) (going for educational tv tonight!! woot! ) and there was a Prince reference. Rick mentions "the scientist formerely known as Rick" and then they show a guy who is/was Prince like (hair, clothes, high heels)... morbid because the guy is dead (this was originally aired b4 his death)... just wondering if anyone else caught this? lol

Morbid is defined as "characterized by or appealing to an abnormal and unhealthy interest in disturbing and unpleasant subjects". A Prince reference in a TV show is not morbid.

If anything is morbid, it's all of us. Our interest in Prince is beyond unhealthy sometimes. lol

But there are plenty of TV shows with "formerly known as" type references. It happens when one becomes a pop culture icon. Animaniacs had a "finger Prince" reference - not morbid. Neither is New Girl, Muppets Tonight, or anything else he was part of, purposely or not.

Who is Rick & Morty? razz

"eye don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."

I meant morbid in the sense that it showed him clearly dead. That part was a bit disturbing. There are plently of references to Prince on lots of shows...always fun to see (usually a good natured poke at him). If u don't know who Rick and Morty are, I would recommend seeking it out (but there is no redeeming quality in it and some may not find it funny....) biggrin

Well, that very much is a bad coincidence. Yeeeesh.

I've found myself watching the Prince episode of New Girl over and over lately. When the two characters freak out when they first meet him is hysterical. She almost cries, and the guy pauses then just lets out a blood-curling shriek. Also, the ping pong game at the end, where he gets mad and walks away. We know them ping pong stories.
