Lambchop covers "When You Were Mine" in the studio

Probably there are not many fans of the band Lambchop over here. I like 'em a lot, however. Recently they have posted a new cover version of When You Were mine on soundcloud. For those who care:

lol had no idea there was a band called Lambchop! I had this mental image of the puppet named Lambchop singing a Prince song! .....that was one of my fav shows aside from Sesame Street that I loved as a kid.

So I'm not the only one who had this image of that puppet singing this. falloff

He DID do the Muppets, I remember. And didn't he appear on Sesame Street?

To the topic, though, I couldn't make out the song very well, which might be partially my hearing. It's cool though that this cover happened.

I hated that puppet! But then, I was already an adult when I became aware of that thing, what with little cousins and whatnot. I still want to take an axe to that unending song thing he did. falloff

This is one of the rare Prince songs that work well as a cover...Ani Difranco, Tegen and Sara, Cyndi Lauper.

I never got the "John Lennon" influence thing.
