RE Mayte's revelations today in People Magazine - where do we draw the line on revelations? just read it..won't link it [sorry but I cant bring myself to]..i feel sick after reading it & suspect you will too? Q is...where do we draw the line on these books / stories etc. Do you want a Judith Hill tell all [as she did re the events on the plane] , inevitably Wendy & Lisa amongst many others will be doing their books etc. In your opinion what do you want...is it a case of what the hell..if I dont wnat it I wont look / buy it OR do you want to know everything? The pain & mixed emotions regarding P's mind set start all over again. | |

None of this matters to me. I pre-ordered the book, and I will read it. I had longed for answers - the autopsy report - to help resolve what happened in my mind, but I have given up on that. | |

. Same. I see no problem with Mayte telling her story as she remembers it. If she makes any money off the book, fine. If she gets extra publicity, fine too. . That's just it -- the fans don't get to draw any lines anywhere. You don't have a right to tell anyone anything about whether they speak or not. The nly thing you can do is not read it if you don't want to know.
There was nothing disrespectful in that article. Very saddening, yes, of course, but really? How did it make you 'sick to your stomach'? That's just.... /wow/, man. How could she possibly have done anything to offend you by relating the grief they shared about their child dying? Or was it that she were upset to find that the poor baby had complications that led to his death?
Give these people a break, would you? Either read the things or don't read the things, but stop beating on them for talking about someone they worked/lived with/were married to. If it doesn't live up to your magical view of who Prince was, that's just too bad; Nobody EVER lives up to the romantic dream some people like to make up in their heads regarding celebs. And on the org, it reaches some truly epic proportions. This post is a symptom of it, I think. Mayte DARED to talk about the pain and terror of losing her child, and somehow it's read as 'an attack on Prince'. It wasn't. It talked about a shared moment of grief.
So what if Prince 'wouldn't have talked about it!' Maybe he should have like a normal person. I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

Damn. I always felt I could understand stand how it played a major role in their divorce but now reading the story yeah that's a tough one to come back from. I have 2 children and just imagining that moment for them. So sad. Not fair for anyone to have to go through that. 1980-Present

She has a right to say whatever she wants to say and people have a right critize her it. She is milking that child's death to get a check instead of getting off her ass and getting a job. She just as much admitted that she was pissed off that she did not get any Purple Rain money. She is trying to ride the purple train for the rest of her life and she needs to deal the critism that is coming her way like an adult. | |
