God is in the House - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (Alone at the piano, Prince would kill this)

Into My Arms - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (ditto)

Where is My Mind? - Pixies

Shades of Scarlett Conquering - Joni Mitchell

Idiot Wind - Bob Dylan (or Tangled Up in Blue from the same album)

Crosstown Traffic - Jimi Hendrix (Seems tailor-made for Prince to cover)

Joan of Arc - Leonard Cohen

Brown Sugar - Rolling Stones (Prince could have done a whole Stones cover album)

The Calvary Cross - Richard and Linda Thompson

Wild is the Wind - Nina Simone

Sound & Vision - David Bowie

Those two would be great, specially the Pixies one. What about Hey from the Pixies

I always wanted him to do November Rain. Could picture switching between Axl's piano bits and Slash's solo

Ohhh, such a great thought. I'm picturing this live, him switching between instruments on stage. Obviously he would need some help with the piano since the parts overlap in places but that would be so cool. His guitar solos could've been epic.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

For some weird reason I always wanted him to do a cover of Sad But True by Metallica shrug

There is a copy of his version of AC/DC's Shook Me Allnight Long. Close enough?

I would've loved to hear Prince's take on this.

I could see this Prince doing this song.

well that would be easy: an album with nothing on it.
In general i dislike covers. 95% of covers is rubbish. Some small % are real gems.
Prince's covers mostly all sound the same (think 'shouting': one of us, Creep, best of you, ...)
Just my imagination is the gem here, and i kinda liked Whole Lotta Love
