Nars is a premium brand that's been around forever. It is sold in high-end stores like Nordstrom, Saks, and Bloomingdale's. I know Prince was partial to Mac, but many prefer Nars. | |

Personally, I think "Do Me Baby" and "Dirty Mind" are pretty hot. I've never worn a purple lip color, like "Pussy Control," but those colors have been pretty popular in recent years. Something tells me the collection will be wildly popular. | |

MAC is cheap and lacking in creativity. They are a massive corporate monster. I'd be furious if they were using Prince to make more money for themselves. Nars, on the other hand, is a brilliant brand with premium products. Francois Nars is an artist who is all about individuality and creativity. I doubt this line will even be heavily promoted. I feel like it's just a little nod to Prince. Lots of people wouldn't even get the connection. I think it's classy and respectful (and those are my favourite lipstick formula so...yay!) |

Oh, and just to continue my rant (it turns out I am strangely passionate about this!) Of course the estate wouldn't have had to sign off on this! Prince doesn't own words! Besides, Nars have had a lipstick called "Pop Life" for years. I always wondered if it was a nod to Prince. Question answered  |
