Footage live from Paris 88

I'm new on that forum so I try to please you.
I uploaded early the bangles with prince and now I show you footage of prince in Paris 1988 a few weeks after Michael Jackson performed in the same city for the Bad Tour.

That's cool. There's also footage from one of the two Los Angeles show (I went to one) from a local L.A. news report. I think it's from the opening with "Erotic City" and "Housequake". He was in the white outfit with black polka dots.

I have vivid memories of this footage being shown on a Channel Four music show in the UK, back in '88. The presenter was stood between two displays, Prince on one side, Jackson on the other...I have memories of him saying ..."...and Prince, who tours all the time..." in reference to the fact Jackson's tour was a rare event. Then they cut to the footage from Paris. The Sister solo completely transfixed me. I was new to Prince. I sort of knew he could play guitar but I was not expecting that...and then the Dortmund show was on TV and I got so excited as Sister started and then felt a little let down by the less flashy solo he performed that night. Through time, of course, I've come to appreciate the choice he made. Mood, tone, tenor of the night etc influence the decision. I now understand I am lucky enough to witnessed both styles of playing and seen the evolution of the tour from that date in Paris to the date in Dortmund.

So wait, missa confused: this was actually aired in the UK not France? Do you by any chance remember the exact show it was played on and the approximate date?

If it's pro shot I don't believe so.

Thx for posting that stuff. Do u have any additional info regarding the Lovesexy footage being aired on UK TV (or any other TV show)?

It was aired in the UK - yes. Possibly on The Word? The presenter was male - could've been Terry Christian - beyond that, sorry, mother memeory fails. It was probably aired in France too... It looked like footage that would have been released for promotional means.

La video que j ai poste est un melange de plusieurs chaine tf1 et antenne 2. Il y a des moments ou le son est que du cote gauche. C est parce que sur le cote droit il y avait les commentaires des journalistes.

Syracuse is nowhere near New York city. If it's marked as NYC, then it probably is that, I would imagine.

The dude's got some interesting pieces of video on his YT, so I'm sure he knows what he has. Cool stuff.

It would have to be one of the Uniondale gigs then? It can't be the benefit gig for handicapped kids, as that only lasted just over an hour

Yes its in Syracuse. Was it released?
And what about the concert of Detroit in the mid 80's?
Sorry I don't Know anything about Prince smile I'm a MJ fan.
Prince was very strict about YouTube so its hard to find if anything is rare or not
Also i have mostly everything that has been aired on the French TV about Prince in the 90's (except from the Channel M6 and canal plus . All straight from the master tape. So if you have something in bad quality and want a better one. Just let me know
