I don't mind. I think what matters more is the content rather than the form. There are sexist songs from the 50s, like Hard Headed Woman, where no b-words or h-words occur and then there are completely empowering songs that contain a couple of these words I absolutely adore P Control, U.N.I.T.Y., and Formation :heart:

Elton John sang "The Bitch is Back," and IIRC Billy Joel sang that song when Elton was inducted in the Kennedy Center Honors one year. I don't have a problem with it in that song, or "Billy Jack Bitch" for that matter.

P had small feet and a small body, but if rumours from the numerous women who would know are to be beleived, that myth didn't hold true for P.

Let me say up front that I think Prince was a class act all the way, and I do not believe in his private life (I did not know him personally) that he would use the "w" word when speaking about a woman, because he did not seem to be that type of person. I was referring to the classless, low life men who categorize women as T + A and basically that's it. Now, I tend to like to buy certain things, and you could say I was a ______ w..... because I always buy all those things. When I was growing up in the 60s, men would call women "frigid" if the women were not what they wanted sexually; the "w" word brings that f word to my mind, and I hate both. This is just me.

Especially when applied to Cheryl Johnson, aka C.J., the no-talent hack employed by the Star Tribune who spent years referring to Prince as "Symbolina" and wrote numerous columns chiding everything the man did. He got her back not only with the song, but had her thrown out of PP once during a gala the mayor of Mpls was holding there. When she opened her mouth to complain about the $100 she paid to attend the event one of Prince's bodyguards produced a crisp $100 bill which she grudgingly accepted as she was escorted out.

Sorry, back on topic: His use of certain words was never an issue for me. He used them in the right context it seemed and were pretty tame compared to others out there.

Why was that woman so relentlessly snide to P?

Even when he tried to not be mean back she just kept coming. Even after 4/21 she did an article being snide under cover of "Yeah, I'll miss him". Doesn't make sense.

She even admits to taking her friend, a P fan, to see PP and P being in the driveway and him talking to her about why she was so unpleasant to him all the time and she says P asked her if he had dated her in high school or something and she says she told him that she doubted she was "his type".

Was that her problem with him? Mad cuz she had a crush on him but figured she didn't have a chance with him so she decided to be publicly mean?

Ok, seriously? If that story runs true, then he deserves to get his ass reamed.
