It did for me. I got incredibly emotional.

Whoa.

The story was definitely better than the actual song.

The song Goldnigga would be so much better without all of that goofy banter. Talk about cringe-worthy...

so what kind of track is it? i always imagined it to be prince on the piano

with perhaps some drum machine programming added in the bg? with a
bit of horn flourishes added on top of that by eric and atlanta? a ballad,
right?

Hopefully the rest of us (soon) get a chance to judge for ourselves!

Prince liked ML a lot according to Susan.

Yes, she has stated a few times that he added it to the sequence of certain albums, only to remove it. Or maybe he was just trolling her since she was so in love with that track ?! razz

As for "Wally", I do think it would be amazing to hear someday. From the sounds of it, it is cut from the same cloth as "Old Friends 4 Sale", "Moonbeam Levels", and "Anna Stesia" - very vulnerable and personal songs that he generally chose not to release for God knows what reason. It's cool that some fans have heard it.

It's very possible I've already shared too much. Time will tell, but I *hope* to share more at a further stage. Apparently some bridges have already been burned, but c'est la vie.....

I'm really, really sorry to hear that you are going through this. You honored the song in your comment, expressing how it moved you. On more than one occasion, Prince stated his appreciation for people who would make the effort to express an honest compliment.

I appreciate your work and generosity toward Prince fans. Maybe I should take this opportunity to pay a compliment I never stepped up to give. Thank you for sharing knowledge and information with so many others for whom being a fan adds color to life. It's meant a lot to get your take on things, and it's been super hearing you (and Kim : ) ) speak out through many projects, including your You Tube series and some extensive podcast projects, like your recent, very in depth review of the Come album.

Well glad someone got to hear it at least.

.

Without burning are more bridges, do you know if the Estate/WB is planning on including Wally on any future releases? Personally I don't care if I never hear the bootleg, as long as it's made available to buy through the Estate.
