VH1 Video Break???

Anyone knows about this? I've just found it 4 download alongside the Love4OneAnother TV Special, it has Prince/NPG/Mayte music vids from 95. Obviously just a Prince special on VH1 but I'd like to know if there's any additional info about it.

The Videobreak" is from VH-1, early 1996, includes music videos and performances from The Gold Experience + Exodus (maybe from Come as well - I don't exactly remember),

Prince is taking the piss on Madonna, in the program - rolling his eyes (something like that) to 1 of her very boring videos from the mid 90s (I think its a Marvin Gaye cover-song somehow, he looks shocked at the tv-screen, humorous).

Very funny episode the socalled video break, Mayte makes the plug (of electricity) leave the wall at some point - walking into the cable clumbsy, and Prince & the NPG are chasing her, after the tv channels breakdown.

Otherwise the plot to start with is that Prince is taking over the control of The VH1 video-channel - to make them play musicvideos from NPG / Prince (The Artist) / and some related Paisley Park artists as well (Nona Gaye I think is one), very amateurish still very funny also (you know the Prince humour, very silly but funny as well).

Bonus info:

in the Intro to the other tv-special - the socalled Love4oneanother, you are seeing Nikki (a Prince babe also visual later in the program - and she is in the "Gold" music video, "a Prince super fan") however,to see Nikki with several issues of the DANISH magazine, a fanzine called "Scandalous Magazine" from 1994/95, created by fan Klaus Egelund in Denmark, for sale (those articles are in danish I believe, IIRC), sold to a bunch of danish fans in the fanbus to the Gold Experience PRINCE (The Artist) concert-show in Den Bosch, Holland beginning of 1995 (march I think)- I was in the bus but did not buy any of the magazines, unfortunately (damn).

But so funny - and impressive - to watch these issues of "Scandalous Magazine" later in the L4OA tv-special (Klaus told us he made an interview with Mayte at some point in Denmark, she was very sweet and made a very positive impression he said) - Prince got these magazines from Mayte, (of course given to her by Klaus himself).

Both shows Love4OneAnother + Video Brerak are available on 1 dvd disc, bootleg dvd of course, from "Brave" - right? IIRC?

Thx for all the info biggrin

I now remember the Madonna thing so I guess I had this on the same VHS I had L4OA at the time. But I had no recollection of the 2 being 2 different programs... Watching it will be a hell of trip down memory lane biggrin

IIRC, the 2 shows ran back to back, easy to confuse for a single program.

That even makes sense that he cut into VH1's programming then everyone shows up at Paisley Park to party.
What?

Exactly. It was presented as NPG taking over VH1 programming with their own.
