I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

Wow. I am trying to remember what I was doing that day. I do recall my pal-around spamming my FB timeline with this advert and goading me to buy a ticket. I was traveling for a work project and could not make the concert.

I was digging his look with the afro, but noticed he was a bit slimmer than usual. He was an exceptional human being. fro

i remember the reviews when the tour started and I was excited by it, being a piano player myself. I loved the ONA piano stuff (album and live show). i didn't know then that the man was most likely really having serious problems by that point, maybe he figured that he'd push his body as far as it would go. Who knows what he was thinking, just wish he was still here.

I have recordings of nearly all of these shows. Absolutely amazing. Even more so now considering he obviously was in poor health. Perfect voice, perfect playing. An adoring crowd. I really hope the Estate releases these some day.

I have recordings of a few Piano and Microphone shows as well.... I love the PP shows.... Being able to relive the memories. Hearing Baby early in the first show.... And the extended I Wanna Be Your Lover. And the second show from Wow to Free Urself. And his version of A Case of You.

I like Aukland too... I Feel For You into Controversy is crazy. I love the intro into Controversy at this show. Condition of the Heart then Ruff Enuff. And finally Noon Rendezvous. Those five songs at Auckland are something I can listen to over and over and over.

When We Will Be Paid? from Atlanta. The last Atlanta show is painful to listen to.

His intertwining of songs during the run of the Piano and Microphone shows was amazing. Favorite moments:

Dirty Mind / Little Red Corvette

Waiting in Vain / If I Was Your Girlfriend

The Love We Make/Pink Cashmere

But those two PP Gala shows are something else. The first show was so intimate and personal and the second was a great late show.

We were fortunate in Seattle to get 4 LOL shows. Hearing Dolphin, Colonized Mind, When We're Dancing Close and Slow. When I hear the guitar start in on Bambi it's wonderful. The slowed down and torutous I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man. And I love Cause and Effect too.

Yesterday Andy Allo payed "I Love You in Me".

I've only heard the Atlanta show, that's the thing that bothers me, for someone who was suppossed to be having so many health issues, he sang as good or better than he ever had and it's obvious he still had lots to give. It wasn't like he was sly stone on stage embarrassing himself, he was still the best in the business. I really do hope we get more answers as to what happened. i know plenty of people don't need to know, don't want to know but I do.

oh, i didn't know that's what they were called. I only found out after they were over and i was pissed, they sounded like the one performance to be at. My best buddy, fellow prince fan joked that if we were there we would have been close enough to get a pic of me high fiving him. 250 was steep but it sounded more than worth it. the shows were pretty hush hush and to my knowledge was the first live performance with 3EG.
