'Power Fantastic' played and sung by 8 year old!✨

I just stumbled upon this internet gem... Fantastically delightful!

"We are completely heartbroken with disbelief sad So honoured to have had the opportunity to spend time with U our big brother PriNce.
We feel very priveliged to have had Prince arrange a special private meeting for jaz who was only 9 at the time here in Australia in 2012.
Jaz ( now 14) was to go under his guidance once she turned 18 as keyboardist and singer.

Such a great loss, an icon gone way too soon. We will greatly miss U alwayz Brother Prince, but forever remembered in our hearts.

Thank U alwayz 4 believing in jaz and 4 sharing ur visions with us.Jaz will continue with her music journey as u would have expected.

Now..... As 4 Ping Pong...............

Prince: jaz can u play ping pong?

jaz: i dont know that song prince...

prince: falls on ground laughing!! he was talking bout table tennis!

*they had a game of ping pong where he let jaz beat him.. so funny!"

How adorable. I love this !

Great choice, too. A very rare and unusual song to cover.

How and where did she get to meet Prince?

When he did the Welcome2Australia tour in 2012 - I think he saw this online and asked to meet her.

I really, really love it.

I´m usually not too fond of coverversions of Prince songs but this is by far the most touching, most beautiful coverversion I´ve seen in a long time. Not only do I like Jaz´s way of playing but how she sings the song , and , most of all, that she chose this particular song instead of so many other and more famous Prince songs that she could´ve played. It´s one of those spiritual but not in your face spiritual masterpieces, it can be sung by a woman, a man, a 30 year old or a 90 year old person but Jaz proves that it can also be performed by an 8 year old girl in a very convincing and heartfelt manner.

This is by far the most touching, most powerful Prince coverversion I´ve ever seen.

Really made me genuinely happy to see and hear this.

Much love to Jaz.

What a beautiful rendition of a beautiful song.

Yes, I have always felt something special and otherworldly about that song too... and the natural way in which Jaz plays definitely emphasizes that. I wish her the best in her creative journey.

For those interested in hearing more of Jaz's performances and keyboard playing, she has a channel on youtube.

I like this one a lot too:

I saw this ages ago and have been trying to find it again....

I actually MET Jaz,s aunt and Uncle randomly in a shop near to where I live..they saw my lilac hair and we started talking...

Prince naturally came in to the conversation and they told me about his interest and support of her... but I forgot her name and couldnt find anything on youtube despite searching....SO happy to see this...

Awesome how in the END, Uncle Prince seemed to be his most Potent incarnation , teaching and mentoring was giving him a lot of joy...

Miss him so much....

Thanks again Cherry Moon Pie x

Was really surprised how good a job she did for one so young - makes me want to learn how to play it. Such a great song heart
