The last physical Prince CD I bought in real time was 3121 in 2006, then Vanity 6 in 2007.

Up until that point I had had them all, including the side projects, save for The War and Gold Nigga of which I'd never been able to find a physical copy, let alone one of the first GN print with Guess Who's Knocking (I actually could have bought it at the 1993 show in Paris, but at that time I was so sure I could get it soon after in the shops...). For obvious reasons I also didn't purchase The Very Best Of Prince in 2001.

I've ripped and sold everything in 2010.

Official releases only!

I am missing New Power Soul lol

After building a really decent collection, my apartment was robbed. So over time I re-collected the items, moved, and my new apartment was robbed too bawl Needless to say I am slowly - begrudgingly - rebuilding AGAIN. So there are a lot I do not have.

I definitely need Gold Experience & The Black Album & Emancipation - all three I had twice and poof - gone disbelief They are the next in my replacement list and must haves.

I do not have the online releases, so definitely need Old Friends For Sale, Crystal Ball and so on.

I need One Night Alone(s)

And I will have to check my stash but I think I am missing ONE of the earlier CDs...maybe For You? hmmm It's hard to get excited to fork over money for the THIRD EFFING TIME when the prices in a lot of cases now have tripled or more. pout But, I will get there. One at a time. Eventually. lol

"The Very Best Of Prince".

At today I still have to find a reason to buy it.

I bought it out of completion, not because it was anything I'd not heard before.

That's it. The only officially released CD by Prince that I don't own. The OCD in me eats away at me from time to time and begs me to buy it so my collection can be complete but I just can't bring myself to pay money for a collection of songs I already own.

U get the 7 inch radio versions of songs though and all the songs sound A LOT better in my opinion .plus u get a clear version of "Moonbeam Level's.The more copies it sales the more prince albums WB or The estate will put out.
[Edited 1/10/17 17:39pm]

I downloaded Moonbeam Levels separately because I didn't want to spend 15 euro on one song.

New Power Soul (Some say its not Prince, but NPG)

Rave in2 the Joy fantastic (2000 remix one, CD's not in front of me)

All the NPGMC albums and NEWS

One nite alone

Kamasutra (I don't really want any of these, but If I saw any of them on disc form and not too expensive, would buy them for completion's sake)

.

Protege and obscure stuff stuff

Goldnigga (I have Exodus)

The War

The versace experience

1-800 New Funk

.

Have all the others, until a month ago, also Prince 1979, but bought a repressing in November 2016 and only copped For You in October 2013.

.

Have everything digitally and in bootleg form though.

.

Hardest to cop

1. Crystal Ball/The Truth , got a 4CD set of it in 2009 and it was not cheap, never ever seen another set of it for sale in a wrekka stow.

2. Most NPG era 1990s and 2000s albums, pretty much bought these as they were current and hence why I have them, although Rave, TRC and Musicology were bought 2005/2007. Understand all CD's from TBE exept Emancipation are quite rare now until 3121/Musicology.

3. Girl 6 Original soundtrack - only copped this disc in 2014

4. 4U/Prince - got them in 2013

5. The Black Album 1994 Official reissue, fortunate enough to get it given away free with my copy of Come in 1994 when I bought it.

.

Easiest

1. Any album from Dirty Mind to Lovesymbol (Except Black album) especially now its 2016 and they have all been reissued.

2. Especially Purple Rain and Diamonds and Pearls- just everywhere.

3. The Hits collections, particularly VBOF and the Hits/Bsides, 4 ever may go that way too, but Ultimate is much less common.

.

Also have a few cassettes and most of the stuff on vinyl from 1999 era through to the Come era.

I just realised I also don't have a CD of Chaos and Disorder sad . That would be a hard album to find now, especially here in NZ and considering it was a huge flop.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Thanks for the madhouse info. If we're including side projects then i don't have any of them except for elixir (did own the family but don't know what happened to it) unless you count paula's, patti's and martika's albums (which i don't). Also don't have the war as i was too young to be ordering shizz off the net but that's not even an album. I have most of the 90s singles, beautiful experience and scandalous.

If I'm counting albums on official CDs only then I have all of them under the Prince/ prince names--including One Nite Alone...Piano, Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic and The Undertaker. I don't count The Versace Experience since that was cassette only.

I have all the commercial compliations released on CD, but not any of the import promos like The Crown Jewels and My Name Was Prince.

As for associated artist releases, my Vanity 6 CD is a pirated copy I think. There were so many pirated copies circulating at the time, it was hard to determine which was an official U.S. release so I gave up looking after awhile. I have the Japanese CD of Apollonia 6.

I have all the associated artist Paisley Park CDs except for Kahoru Kohiruimaki's Time The Motion.

I'm missing many of the NPG Records associated artists albums on CD:

The New Power Generation - Gold Nigga
Jacob Armen - Drum Fever

Chaka Khan - Come 2 My House

Graham Central Station - GCS 2000

Támar Davis - Milk & Honey

Liv Warfield - The Unexpected

Judith Hill - Back In Time

CD format only? Goldnigga, Apollonia 6, The War, One Nite Alone, Kamasutra, Rave in2 the Joy Fantastic, both Madhouse albums and all loads of singles and minor related artists here and there. I'm also fairly sure my Vanity 6 and Family cd's are very well made boots and 50/50 on my Jill Jones album.

Or in my case, CD's with no case or slick (Booklet, covers etc). Back in 2002 I did a stint teaching English in Korea and had a strict baggage allowance of 20kg (44lb), so had to get rid of all the jewel cases and slicks and slip the CD's into a 100 pocket fellowes zip up thing. As I was between flats I had to throw all these things away, and 2002 was just before the arrival of the storage buildings we have now and 3 or 4 years before I discovered digital music and Ipods.

.

Hence why to this day many of my Prince CD's sit in empty cases with no slicks.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
