Yes Paul Revere was born in Nebraska and lead singer Mark Lindsay was born in Orgeon. So if all the band members were born in different states, to which state does Paul Revere & the Raiders belong? To the state where they first met and formed the band which was Idaho. Sounds right to me.

I have no explanation for the Donny Osmond oversight though.

i can't believe kenny g outsells anyone, most people think of him as a joke. I can't even name one of his "hits". something is off with this. Bing Crosby? I don't know how many sells he had, he was a landmark figure in American music though. I didn't know he was born in Tacoma, I know he was from Spokane though. He also had a cousin, a popular teacher by the name of Dolores Crosby, it turns out she was a child molester according to a report that came out a couple years ago.

Totally forgot about Bryan Adams, last concert I went to in fact, that is what occurs when I think off the top of my head

So Adams would be BC leader surely, the band I was thinking from Saskatchewan who did California, was actually Chilliwack from BC, no way they have sold more than Adams.

Maybe Joni could compete for Alberta crown, somehow forgot about her, though Nickleback may have dibs even. Likewise forgot about Alanis Morrisette (Ontario). Anne Murray is Nova Scotian, she has to beat out Trews and Sloan.

Anyway may figure out for real someday when bored.
