Did P ever play 'Paisley Park' (the song) live???

I've done a search and can't find any threads / info on this topic...Is there any footage of Prince playing this song live? Did he ever play it live, do we know?

Can't help with footage, but yes - most recently on the Piano & Microphone tour. For future reference, Prince Vault can always help with these questions:

I saw him play a rockin version at The Fillmore in SF at an aftershow back in 2000
& at a ONA soundcheck in Chicago. He's played it quite a few times.

He played it with 3EG in Manchester in 2014. Also at one of the European shows he said this during Purple Rain:

During live shows did he normally as people to come to PP? It seems kind of eerie now, especially the part where he says if you come to my house I need you to take care of it. 😢

Holy shit! Look at that songlist! Look at the combination of periods and sounds that happened at those concerts. Are these concerts anywhere on the net? I'd love to hear how all of these sounded together!

Happy to hear he played it - my apologies for not thinking to check princevault, duh! biggrin

Now, assuming reports that Prince made video recordings of virtually every concert he ever did are true, that means somewhere (presumably in the vault) there is footage...I hope it materialises soon!!!

It was great, wasn´t it? In hindsight probably the best Prince experience I´ve ever had.

He walked right past me when he walked through the crowd that night, a bit reminiscent of the way the band walks through the crowd and onto the stage in the SOTT movie.

I liked how he mentioned the Democrats and Republicans while singing the line about elephants and mules.

By the way, remember Bernard Allison? The Rock and Blues night?

He is on tour and I´m thinking of going to his concert.

Yes I remember one entrance when he walked right by through the crowd from the floor with the band all in a line chanting acapella, and that turned into Days of Wild, but after a long intro where he and Kirk did a syncronized dance to the intro beat with a scarf in hand. Like a ritual invoking the show.

We're luck to have witnessed those moments! "Minority Report" is on repeat on HBO for some reason this last month, and it takes me back to that time as well, and you know why!

Post any photos you have of all of us! I know there was one group photo that included Ben the founder of this site.

He also played Paisley Park at Paisley Park on Oct 16, 2015 with the lineup of Prince, Kirk, Mono Neon, Donna, and Adrian. Then again at the first P&AM show on Jan 21, 2016.

They were next to each other (I remember vaguely they both had head wraps or something on too) each holding a scarf or long fabric in one hand doing these moves in sync, and even turning to each other to do some moves. Kind of at the pace of the slow beat that goes underneath the song.
