Video: Prince's bilingual (English/Spanish) press conference held in Marbella, Spain

Here is the press conference Prince held in Marbella, Spain on August 8, 1998.

The press conference is conducted in both Spanish and English with beautiful Mayte at his side.

This conference shows P's coolness. The translation was atrocious, Mayte would had done a better job translating. Him having a photographic memory and excellent ear makes me wonder if he understood Spanish hmmm

Spanish in Spain is not the same as Spanish in Mexico -- and let's not even get into the different KINDS of Spanish. If I remember correctly, Mayte's actually Mexico-type Latina. But then, I've never gotten into that kind of detail over Prince's women. And I have no idea whether she even spoke Spanish of either type.

I don't know if he understood it, but certainly didn't speak it. Watch the oscars when he had to read the name of the song from the Motorcycle Diaries, or the 'no te alejes de este momento de inspiraciĆ³n' line from Get on the Boat. It took me weeks to understand what he was saying!!

Some people just have a terrible pronounciation. Even after years of learning the language.
