prince biopic in the works

Hollywood has been rubbing their hands together to exploit Prince's life for an unauthorized biography for movies since he was alive. Now that he's gone the vultures are out in ful force to sell these kind of products. It was inevitable. Just hope it's not too crass. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR | |

If it's focusing on his early life, Skipper could be an ok name but most people won't get the reference and the studio won't want to alienate any potential moviegoers. Simply calling the movie "Prince" would be my own personal choice but it might be cool if it was just called after his symbol so that it has no actual pronunciation. Sure, that could alienate some people too but it's instant publicity and the contradictory nature of it probably sums up the man himself. | |

Nobody TRULY knows enough about this man to create a biopic. It's going to be unnaccurate and FULL of SPECULATION! What a shame! Hollywood can't wait to tarnish images of peoople we hold dearly. | |

Since it will happen whether we want it or not, might as go all in (in Prince's spirit) and defy expectations and aim for a crowning technical achievement. By that I mean - have a series of famous people portray Prince's facets. When the scene calls for Prince to be laying a firm business hand down, cut to Samuel L. Jackson (in a wig) reminding everybody whose house they're in. When the scene calls for Prince to be all doe eyed - cut to Rihanna with a pencil thin moustache. It would be a casting/editing masterpiece that messes with the audience. | |
