This. I'm surprised how many people don't remember this. I believe their original agreement was up in August/Sept/October (I can't remember exactly when), but they agreed to stay on a little while longer. It was never meant to be permanent.

Bremer could have easily requested an extension and would have been granted one, but instead, in September, they offically stated that they did not wish to continue after the end date. In one of the letters filed, they stated that the reason for them not wanting to continue as the Administrator, is that the there is disagreement between them and the non-excluded heirs about how to monetize Prince's assets / music. So it's this disagreement that's the root of their resigning their position as administrator.

Who runs NPG Publishing? Do they have the proper resources and experience to administer his catalog?

-- It was managed by Phreda and their was a New York lawyer listed on the Minn state incorporation website as the attorney who registered the LLC. I am under the impression that Prince had attorneys involved with running it or at least consulted with attorney. All the family would have to do is go to a entertain law /copyright law firm. Hire good accountants and someone to watch the accounts and the would be fine. I also think keeping NPG records and putting out the vault material themselves with streaming the cost could be minimal. Check out the articles about Chance the rapper he hit number one by putting his music on streaming services without a record deal.

I had heard there were two factions in the non-excluded heirs. Do you think if they were getting along that they would each have their own lawyers? They would have functioned as a unit. They were disagreeing about money from the beginning - who should get what. They cannot agree on a replacement for Bremer. And Prince is paying for all of this.

Petitions have just been filed and John, Sharon, and Norrine want Comerica and Londell to be the co-Special Administrators.

The family is divided on how to proceed.

I was hoping the family would be able to hold off and make it thru the hier determination phase. This division may complicate things. Tyka did list Comerica as a possibility, so it may not be as bad. I wonder why they picked Londell?

Will this compromise the upcoming appeal cases and Tidal case? Will Bremer have to provide attorneys for any appeals cases in heir determinations and claims?

Tyka stated she would accept Comerica as an alternative to Fiduciary Trust but did not state she wanted Londell as a Special Administrator.

It wont compromise anything going on with the Estate until a new Administrator comes on board.

The appellate cases will take a significant time to process.

Same for the Federal case against Tidal.

As you have witnessed in the Probate case, it takes months, and months for anything to happen.

-Does it really matter? The money will be split evenly by the court. The know this from their dads probate nothing has changed. They each have attorneys who may be whispering pipe dreams in their ears.

--No he just cut a deal on his own with the Platforms. No different then what Prince did with Tidal. Work for yourself and hire professionals to handle the admin task. I wonder if this is something that is dividing the family. I could imagine some wanting to sell it all and some wanting to run it all.

Well, now it's back to square-one, again!! eek

.

Since they’re not unanimous, Bremer Trust attorney Laura Halferty writes, there’s no need for the court to rush a decision until all the presumed heirs have been heard.

I'm guessing the family trusted Londell because he worked with Prince in the past.

Fair conclusion. I didn't think of that view. Just throwing this out there, but do you think the older siblings wanted to "cash out" while Tyka wanted to retain as much ownership and run Prince's business and music. This is not meant in a negative way at all. Just trying to generate thoughts and discussions.

--- I think this may be the case. Tyka has said she wants to get the music out the best way is to keep the business going but I could see the older sibs wanting to cash out they are not spring chickens and running a business is not easy.

I just wanted to add, Londell knew how Prince wanted things and knew his business style, so it only seemed fitting that Tyka wanted him to serve as manager of his estate. Well, we know that's about to change soon.

.

To respond to your question: I'm not sure that Tyka's siblings really had much involvement and/or interest in Prince's career. I would say if anyone knew about Prince's music, it would be his Sister, Tyka. She is a singer herself and has recorded a few albums of her own, so she has a knowledge of the music business. I would have to say that her other siblings probably don't know as much or were even that close to Prince, imo.

.

Hope this made some sense, LOL lol

I agree; the siblings probably just want to get this over and done with, while Tyka probably has more of a say in the direction of his estate and music.

If Londell's cryptic tweets are meant in response to something or someone specific, he needs to take the high road and not respond at all with goofy messages. I hate them. Now that he is Co representative of Prince's estate these Kind of tweets need to stop because they are unprofessional in my opinion.

Cheap money.

Used to prop up the stoxx.

Used to do the buybacks.

Used to to the LBO's.

Used to keep the system (banks, big pharma, militaryindustrialcomplex and more) running beyond the expiration date.

Everything goes to keep the status quo.

I am not sure how much the business of the Estate will suffer from the days of reckoning once they start to publish music.
