Need some info on Gold Nigga pressings

Ok, so a DJ overseas sent me a copy of the Gold Nigga CD back in the early 90's. I am about to try and move it. My question is about the different versions of it that were issued and how do I know which version I possess.

So far I have encountered a silver edition, a Luxembourg edition and an original pressing.
There is absolutely no additional info listed anywhere on the cd.

Anyone able to advise?

It's incredible what 10 seconds of effort find:

There are two official 16 track versions (without barcode, label and manufacturing info) that have teh following in the inner ring of the discs:

Version 1: A logo of a circle with an A in it, "Disque Americ" "01S02GOLDNIGGA", under the Compact Disc logo it says "Made In Canada (This is the first pressing of the "GoldNigga" CD which was sold on various 1993 ACT II gigs in Europe and through 1-800-New Funk...)

Version 2: "MFG BY CINRAM USA NPG-GN 1019-12" (This was the second pressing sold at the NPG stores and 1-800-New Funk...)

Version 3: 15 track version that has the following in the inner ring: "ZOMAX OPTICAL-PLYMOUTH MN-Z10054 05651" (This is the third pressing that was sold online and through the NPG Stores...)

How disappointing. I have version 3 (got 5 years ago) which until just now didn't realise omitted "Guess who's knocking". I've also had a bootleg since 95 with the full tracklist plus about 5 additional bonus tracks.

Thanks to all this fine fine scholarship I have surmised that I am sitting on the 3rd pressing. Although it might still fetch a pretty penny I believe I shall sit a little longer before putting it out there.

Discogs is such a great resource for just this sort of thing. They even have the 411 on etchings in the play out area of a record, to know which is what. They have an app too, which is decent.

God, I love Discogs. I only started using it about 5-6 months ago to buy records. But it's changed my life.

I also have that one.

Some years later I buyed an official "Goldnigga" CD directly from NPG (with the "2gether" single) and I received the release missing GWK.

But to be honest I don't mind that much, I'm not feeling missin' something essential.

I bought multiple copies of GN with Guess Who's Knocking at the Paisley Park garage sale back in 2000. I sold them all for a crazy profit over the years.

I'm a complete idiot: I was there at the 1993 Paris show and at that time I was into cassettes not CD's so I thought I'm gonna wait for the official mainstream release on cassette and didn't buy it... I'm still waiting lol

I should have bought 10 copies of it, I'd be rich now nod

I ordered the album along with the 2gether CDMS from 1-800-NEW-FUNK back in 94.
Looks like I have Version #2.

Not dead, not in prison, still funkin'...
