I slept on Dark for ages. Big mistake!

I mean. Jesus H Christ what a brilliant song. I really don't care for the Crystal Ball version. But on Come, this song just takes it out the stratosphere. It's funny how rediscovering a song can make you fall in love with Prince as if it was your first time listening to him. I've had this song on repeat approximately 12 hours til' now and I'm not even tired of the song, far from it actually. I believe I will another marathon tomorrow. From when I'm walking around town, to the gym and before going clubbing later that night. cool

And this album was voted top 50 worst albums ever?!?!?!?!?!?! Give me a fucking break douchebags.

"Initial tracking took place on 2 January 1993 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA (during the same one-day session that produced Come, Dolphin and Endorphinmachine)."

You are kidding me eek . What a legendary day that must've been. Hahaha! Wow, mindblown.

Nah. Just another day at the office. ohgoon Don't get me wrong, I like all those songs, but for Prince, that must have been a pretty normal day.

Top 20 Prince song...and I agree the CB version is not in the same league as the Come version. The entire Come album is underrated though.

I finally decided to listen to his last ever concert, yesterday. It was tough to sit through, considering what would happen soon after, but one of the highlights was Dark. He absolutely blew the roof off Atlanta with this classic song.

Dark is one of those songs that I liked fairly well when Come came out, but as I have revisted a lot of his material lately I have grown to love it. Maybe even top 20 of his songs, which is a supreme compliment. I really enjoy the Come, CB and Atlanta versions. I agree it was one of the highlights of the Atlanta concert.

I wonder now that Prince is gone people might start listening to the 90s music when he was in the "slave" period and discover they missed out on some great music.

While reading this post I can recall the song Dark and it was great. I also remember not liking So Dark on Crystal Ball, I think it was called So Dark may be wrong.

I may have to find the Come CD for my commute tomorrow!

With proper editing/curating, his 90's period has some outstanding material that was criminally ignored by the masses.

Since we're on the subject of the Come albulm Phermone is the Jam on that album. He was on another level arranging that song.

And the part that goes: "for leaving me alone, alone, alone" that line is beautiful.

I agree to this statement so much! And I love that! I hope this happens with different songs from now until Eternity nod My recent 'falling in love with him all over again' is not one song but a few from One Night Alone: A Case Of You, u're Gonna C Me and especially One Night Alone & Here On Earth - I could listen to them on repeat all day. Just feel like we're listening to a different layer of him all together. Raw almost. Phenomenal vocals...the music...just stunning! bow

Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.
