Chicago Tribune story on PP. Seems he felt the emptiness and loss.

Paisley Park a lonesome kingdom without Prince

by Christopher Borrelli

"...If you can read between the lines and offer the rigorous eye that an often-groundbreaking artist demands, I recommend a visit to Paisley Park. What Prince created here was complicated, an elaborate system for reassuring himself he was still the king, even as he shifted from iconoclastic superstar to nostalgia act. He seemed to surround himself with a web of employees who met his whims and allowed room to create whatever he dreamed up but probably couldn't offer much in the way of criticism...Still, there's a touching sadness at the margins, an ennui to the coldness of Paisley Park.

"...it's tough to pretend this place was a monument to the artistic urge when it seems so much now like a mausoleum of lonesomeness. Whatever Prince was doing in Paisley Park had to be released to the world, and increasingly the response was indifference."

"Hold on to your souls y'all. We got a long way to go. Thank you! We love y'all!"

Thank you so much, Rogifan, to share this view. And no, the quality of the picture isn't poor at all. (I think you had some tears in your eyes- at last my sight is blurred). What a beautiful start of this Thursday.

That's going to be a chilly weekend! I hope you'll enjoy the snow, if business is impossible. (or did you mean the Paisley Park business?) Maybe you should prepare yourself, and be sure you've got enough food and other necesary things in your house!!

Oh, I see, sounds like you're used to it. However cold, snow is nice to play with, even for adults. Wouldn't it be nice to throw snow balls at PP?

Purple lights used to signify the man was in the building. Now the lights are on every night. I guess because he's always in the building now. sad 💜

Nice picture. The place looks a bit deserted/lonesome. (Did you leave your warm house in the middle of the night to shoot this picture?)

Love love love the pictures of Paisley Park.
Because of the distance I will not be able to visit PP, so this picture makes me feel a bit closer.

It looks really beautiful and serene over there in the snow.
You're right, he always will be there now.

Thank you rogifan!
'cause you got to know...how I feel about you babe

Anyone else have VIP tickets for this Thursday, December 22 at 11 AM? Just arrived in Minneapolis for Christmas. Haven't been home in years. Before driving home to rural Minnesota had to take a tour of Paisley Park. Haven't been there for at least 10 years. if you are on the same tour message me.

Has anyone heard any details about how well attended the tours and other events at PP have been since the tribute in October.

I was just over on my Ebay page and there was a banner at the top of the page advertising the tours, so hopefully they are doing alright.
