Purple Yoda rules my household !

With all the serious and depressing Prince news lately, I thought I would share a light-hearted tidbit. I have been gradually exposing my 10 year old twins to Prince music. They have liked a few songs, but nothing that they request over top 40 radio sad UNTIL YESTERDAY. I was playing 20ten for them, thinking it's catchiness might appeal to them. Playing the hidden track Laydown was an afterthought, as I rarely play it. When my son heard Prince call himself the Purple Yoda he lit up and paid attention. We were on a long car trip, and about every hour he would request to hear the Purple Yoda song. I asked him about why he liked it so much, and he said that anyone who would call themselves the Purple Yoda had to be cool lol . I agree! He also indicated that he would like the song even if it didn't have the purple yoda reference, but he loves the song with the reference. Who knew that Laydown would be the key!!!! lol

Didnt questlove call him that? something about prince having ascended to the highest level of musicianship.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
