Halloween Prince Costume? Too Soon?

Considering wearing this at a few parties this year. Wondering if it will be too soon.

Don't think it's too soon. Hope to see many people paying tribute to P this Halloween!
The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

What happened with Prince isn't a joke. People are grieving. I would hope folks would think up some other costume for Halloween if they need to even wear one.

Well I was going to be Dirty Mind era Prince before I found out I was pregnant, so I obviously don't think it's too soon.
Though I think something from a different era would be cooler, albeit less recognizable.
Cute costume for the price.

I thought about it. Won't be doing Halloween but maybe Mardi Gras. I believe in making my own costumes but the wig is good. Will have to be perfect tho. Won't do P half azzed! That costume isn't just for men. Plenty ladies wanna be him too.

Brand new boogie without the hero.

It's a nice tribute in my opinion and not too soon. I feel like there will be more than a few people doing the same and maybe even carving some Prince themed pumpkins

Adult Purple Rock Star....lol......also, thanks for the comments everyone. Prince will live on forever in my opinion. To be sad is not something he would approve of.

IMO - This is how Prince dressed on a Tuesday. biggrin Jack Sparrow - Jonny Depp alive. Top Gun - Tom Cruise - alive. Cruella De Vil - Meryl Streep - alive. Prince is not a live and is not a character. Personally, I think it would be in bad taste and that he is now reduced to a Halloween costume - BTW he didn't celebrate holidays - and even though this 'costume' has been in stores before (which he tried to keep it from being sold) he is now gone. But to each their own, maybe just something to think about. You asked. We can honor him in different ways. Peace, love and continued healing.

Not buying the "reduced" comment. Anybody that wants to can be "Prince dressed on a Tuesday" for Halloween AND be honoring him, totally recognizable icon. In my case - Mardi Gras - when people mask as who or what they TRULY WANT TO BE it is a perfect fit. Respecting a beloved tradition and a beloved person. Please, I hope you meant the last sentence of your post. Judging others defines you more than it does them. Lassiez les bon temps rouler!

That is not how Prince dressed on a Tuesday. Prince himself actually hadn't dressed like that in more than 30 years. confused

But other people dressing as Prince for Halloween and costume parties is nothing brand new and was done plenty while he was alive, well and could have responded any way he wished.

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I meant it was how he dressed during that time in his career."was done plenty while he was alive" In my opinion. I am certainly not telling anyone what they can or can't do. I stated that. Ouch.

Apparently, the Legends show at Foxwoods casino will be featuring a Prince impersonator in its new shows this fall. Too soon for me. Wait until a year has passed then do it.

I saw a guy dressed in this exact same costume at the Sheila E and Morris Day Tribute. He was a small and resembled P! The outfit was awesome.
