Possessed Excerpt Hi, guys. I have gotten a lot of questions about re-releasing "Possessed: the Rise and Fall of Prince." Although I am not at this time planning a re-release, I am going to release slightly adapted excerpts on my Facebook group from time to time. I just posted the first one. Please feel free to check it out if you're interested. As people some people may recall, I got a certain amount of criticism -- some of it pretty harsh -- when the book was released, and again upon returning to the org. I'll do my best to bear the slings and arrows, but would ask people to remember that we are all trying to communicate with one another and explore Prince's legacy and life. I hope there are room for multiple views without being too tough with each other. And as I mention in the excerpt itself, my views certainly have changed over the years. But enough people have asked about a re-release that I feel it is warranted to get parts of it out there. For those that don't use Facebook, if anyone has a public website that they want to post the excerpt on, just let me know and I'll get you the excerpt.

I thought I saw another post here a few months ago where you said you were planning a re-release of this book. Am I mistaken? [Edited 9/30/16 22:39pm]

Hi, I read your intro & it truly gladdend my heart. Genuinley felt the warmth & respect that P so richly deserves. Truly hope that that tone is carried throughout the book.

I'm not able to open/access/save the pdf. Any other option? “Nobody wants to read my Prince think piece” https://medium.com/@mary_beaulieu

I read Possessed and actually thought it was fair and balanced, up until the period it was published (early 2000s). He had plenty of highs, which are captured nicely, but "fall" section does reflect that he wasn't infallible either. His struggles and foibles humanized him. Your book summarizes what I remembered about his career, and the roller coaster he took his fans on. I actually wished a few extra chapters could've been added about his life and career in the 2000s.
