I wonder what it was I saw then...A doorway shrouded in a black curtain, with a security guard nearby...I'm glad it wasn't the elevator.

Sorry guys but everybody who was close to Prince knew he had no real relationship with his relatives, he had Douane working for him, he was his bodyguard around 1990 for a while and disappeared after that. Just because you never read it anywhere or you got the impression from afar that he wasn't close to his sister doesn't mean the closeness didn't exist. In reality only the two of them know the depths of their relationship. Other people's comments on their relationship and your view of it are just opinions.

I see this a lot on FB groups. Everyone is an expert on who Prince was/wasn't close to, what he would/wouldn't have wanted. Everyone in it for the money etc. Is this really the fan base he cultivated over all these years? sad

Tyka and Prince grew up together, she's his closest living relative. There may have been times when she was around and times when she wasn't..like many family's. Anyway, he had no children, no spouse and no parents. He left a sister. I don't see what your problem is. You sound ridiculous.

Didn't you know in the Princeworld you only have to buy his records and attend his concerts to become an expert on the mans close personal relationships. lol

If he disliked her why was she around the last years of his life. He also could have written a will and cut her out altogether. He took care of all his sibs and many friends. People don't spend money on people you do not care about.

Prince knew once he was gone his sister was his next of kin, unless he married again. If he didn't want that, as you said, he would have made other arrangements..but he didn't.

He was the executor of his dad's estate and his dad had no will so he knew what would happen.

I am sure there was more behind the doors that we as fans did not/do not know about, including his relationship with his family.

Prince appearantly provided for his family. There was something there, even if it was obligation, which I am not saying.

At this point, Tyka has her hand beyond full. In between the chaos and legal woes, she is trying to grieve and deal with Prince's passing.

John L. Nelson DID have a will.

He made P the executor and in his will he allowed P to make the decision whether any of his children would inherit from his estate.

In John L. Nelson's draft will (prior to executing his final will) he specifically gave his entire estate to P and specifically stated the rest of his children, including Duane, were disinherited.

--- I went back and read the exhibits today and saw John's will and I could have sworn the court docs concerning John's estate said he died interstate. Where did these docs in the exhibit come from and why are the draft versions avalible? Anyway it makes my point that Prince knew enough about estates to make a decision about Tkya if she really bugged him he could have written out.

The documents were given to counsel for Brianna and VN through the "discovery" process.

They found John L's will in P's personal possessions.
