What is the best and safest way to by the CD "Broadcast Six with 3rdeyegirl?

What is the best and safest way to buy the Prince CD "Broadcast Six with 3rdeyegirl”? I was at the May 3rd, 2015 show at Paisley Park and had no idea it was recorded until the other day. Obviously I would like to have it since I was there.

- How did people find out they could buy this CD?

- Where could they buy them from?

- Why were only 500 copies made?

It seems like the only copies available are from overseas, did they even sell these in the USA? How do you know if you are getting the real thing and not getting ripped off?

Thank you

Mike R.

-- The same way you did, word of mouth, or the internet.

Lots of independent record stores sell them.

Why were only 500 copies made?

The majority of these type of releases come from overseas and are only available here as imports.
This isn't a legit, authorized release, it's a bootleg. If you're buying it online, you have no way of knowing whether you're gonna get burned. I haven't PAID for a bootleg since the late 90s.
I realize none of this info helps you, but if you were confused at the logistics of this release, that's why. And that's why only 500 copies were pressed - most boots are very limited edition.

Thank you

NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS! Discussion is fine, so long as the bootleg is not being promoted e.g. pre-release; requests/offers to share or copy, and links to download or bootleg sites are not.

Relax DataBank, nobody's promoting OR soliciting for bootlegs. How the hell am I supposed to know the thing is a bootleg?

.

Let's see: you google the title, this gives you a discogs entry and when you click on the name of the label that released the CD you'll notice the words "Prince bootleg label". Took me all of five seconds.

.

Also note its complete absence in official discographies etc.

Pretty much so yeah, between Princevault, my online discography site, Discogs and Wikipedia one pretty much needs to be my dad, who's 77 years old and doesn't now the difference between bookmarking and downloading a video on YT, not to find out whether a record is a boot or not.

Anyway I'm not a mod, and I'm pretty relaxed, I'm just sharing the rules with a new fellow orger so they don't get temp banned by the mods for violating rules that are being posted in bold on the front page, no offense meant really lol

Well, if only everyone else could figure it out in 5 seconds like you, be sure to congratulate yourself.

That's cool, Thanks cool This is my first time on here so it's all new to me. The reason why I am looking for the music is apparently Prince had the songs realesed on the "Current" or something like that, but the songs aren't there anymore. I would like to have the songs so I can better remember the part. Funny thing happened, I was walking away from the sound stage that night and all of a sudden this little hooded Jawa comes barraling straight at me then just at the just second before running over me, he jams on the brakes and slips around me in a split second. I'm thinking wtf? lol Next thing I know, he's running up the steps to the stage and it was Prince. Do you know how ebarassing that would have been being 6-2" getting run over by 5 ft Prince? cool

It was a joke. Posting about how to buy botlegs on the org is generally a taboo and a violation of rules.
