The Collective Grief of Losing Prince

This great article had already been shared by MMJas but very few had responded, probably because it was still early days and people were just still in too much of a shock to utter any words about it all. And so the thread had rapidly drifted away. As some of us are still trying to process and understand their emotions or simply cope with what has struck all of us, I felt that it might help to share this article again.

This thread here is specifically about what is contained in the article as I feel it highlights a few valid points and possible reasons to consider behind this grief.

While I appreciate your spontaneous willingness to help and re-direct people towards the other thread (whose main topic is that of "Closure" and "Acceptance") I feel that in order for people to reach that point of acceptance, it is important not to rush or ignore the other necessary steps in the process and rather than just focus on the actual "grief" or "grieving" itself, one must also take time to "understand" the reasons why most of us have felt the way they did before they can move on.

The article explores some of these reasons.

Grief is everyone's road right now, of course. So I just offered up another venue for people to express, that's all.
