Has Paisley Park been properly inventoried?

I am shocked that they just found a secret room full of videos last week. Prince is known to have had secret rooms and storage places at Paisley Park and is known to have buried timecapsules. There are devices that could have been used to scan the entire building to find these types of things. To think that they just discovered priceless videos is shocking to me and makes me wonder whether they have properly searched and inventoried Paisley Park before opening it to the public.

I just read an article about Paisley Park on Facebook (I believe shared by Housequake) and Londell stated that everything still needs to be fully inventoried and catalogued.

Would be nice to see some never-before-released videos of songs we already know and love.

I think they're in the process.

And I seriously doubt they're letting the public into any spaces that haven't been fully cleared.

One of my points is really about securing these priceless items. All kinds of construction workers, etc. have now been all through Paisley Park preparing for the opening of the museum. A complete inventory should have been done way before anyone else was allowed in there and all items should have been secured. To find a treasure trove of priceless videos last week really really worries me about the process.

Where, exactly, do you think people will be going on these tours?

Construction workers have been all through Paisley Park? Where are you getting that? (Links, please.) You act as if there are all kinds of unsupervised randos wandering through there. I seriously doubt that's the case.

These professionals didn't find a room full of priceless concert videos until last week. Many months after Bremer supposedly inventoried and secured Paisley Park. Like I said, there is equipment that can be used to make sure that they located any and all storage places and/or valuable items.

That's what I'm saying. Let's have some common sense about this. They're not letting people just wander about the building without a guide or roped off areas. Isn't the regular tour about 12 rooms, and the VIP tour adds a few more to the list? I can almost guarantee the vault won't be one of those places, unless it's totally cleared out first.

10,000 sq ft and there has to be some rooms that no one that even attended the Celebrations knew about or saw a door to. The basement to PP was almost the same dimension as the main floor. There were definitely other rooms and areas where stuff was stored. These findings probably won't be the last.

Somewhere there's a blueprint of the main floor and basement of Paisley Park but I can't find it. I remember Sheila talking about the basement and just how big it was.

Anyone whose interested should listen to Dr Funkenberrys latest podcast which has an interview with Dave Hampton a former audio engineer at Paisley Park. The interview is quite revealing as Dave talks about the "secret room" which he helped to build and according to him was not a secret. He also talks about the restorations and renovations he and his team made to the studios and the studio equipment when he joined Prince's camp and also spills a little tea about the people overseeing Prince's legacy, the inventory of the vault and the opening of PP.

I have never heard of him before and don't know the full extent of his working relationship with Prince but he seems to have Prince's best interests at heart and raised quite a few relevant points in the discussion. It's worth a listen.

--/ Breamer never said they were done inventorying anything. They were actually pretty good about putting things in a lockdown look at the two lawsuits because they would not allow the fund raisers to take place. The only time things could have stolen is right after he passed and right before Tyka went to court to ask that Breamer be the administrator for the estate.

So, the alternative is that they have not inventoried everything after 5 months which is even more egregious. It is one thing to not inventory every song, video, etc., but it is quite another not to identify potential assets and secure them, i.e., boxes, files, hard drives, tapes, etc. A bunch of videos were identified for the first time just last week. They didn't say that they already had them and discovered what was on them, because that would be understandable given the volume of music/videos that he must have at Paisley. But, not to have identified them until just last week makes me very very uneasy about the way Prince's Paisley Park has been preserved.

Yes, I read that the basement where the vault is will not be part of the tour and neither will the elevator he passed away in (which is appropriate out of respect). Did I read that in the Rolling Stone article yesterday? I think it was Rolling Stone. I def read it.

No, you don't know that. You know that five months after his death, a magazine wrote an article with a statement from an anonymous source that, in going through Paisley Park, they found a room containing material they didn't know existed. The article didn't say when the stuff was found - you just made that shit up.

Won't quote a source, misquote a source - that's your MO.

Something like this could be used as a measure of what he wanted to happen after his passing.

But, I did find this:

Execution

A will executed in Minnesota must be in writing, and it must be witnessed. It must be signed by the testator, the person making the will, or by someone else at his express direction. A court-appointed conservator can also sign the will on a testator’s behalf. If referenced in a will, property other than money or property used in business can be disposed of by a separate written document or list.

Witnesses

A will needs two witnesses present at the time of signing. The witness must be a credible person, generally anyone of sound mind and without felony convictions or crimes of moral turpitude. The witnesses can be individuals who receive property or other consideration under the will. They must sign the will within a reasonable time of witnessing the testator’s signature.

This experience will cover courtship, sex, commitment, fetishes, loneliness, vindication, love, and hate.

I think its highly likely that Prince would have a private video collection, which might not have been available to engineers.

Just watch the insatiable video. I'm sure Prince made many videos with his female 'ahem' friends. Maybe Sheila didn't want the vault touched because they could be some very embarrasing video in there.

Everybody has secrets, and I bet Prince had plenty.

'Will Go Crazy"?

If U can't find it,

In the house I lived in,

Take a Look around ya,

At least U got tapes.

U can call my ex lady,

Or U can find my pills,

Lawyer picks up the phone,

Dropped it on the floor,

Arrh, Arrh, where's the will?

Are we gonna let that elevator

Take us down,

No pro bono!

Will go Crazy,

Will go nuts,

Look in the bottom of the dove cage,

B'fore they put it in a truck, Go Go!
