http://www.rollingstone.c...le-w440966 //// I understand how the family feels but what would make them think that Trevor Guy could handle the back catalogue. The copyright issues alone require a attorney. I also find it very telling that Prince detailed plans for turning into Paisley into a museum. He knew the end was coming.

Sorry, I just saw your thread.

I do believe that Prince planned on opening up PP to the public.I hate the thought of a musical..I don't think he knew he was going to die..I remember reading Appollonia's fb post about the Purple Rain room. And I believe Prince wanted a more intimate relationship with his fans as he got older..The piano and mic tour, continual events at PP etc..I miss him..And hope they don't ruin all of his vault treasures to make a quick buck.
Until the end of time

Yes I can imagine him in the Gene Wilder Willy Wonka role. cool I hope they have those white furry boots on display. I want to see those. biggrin Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Oh yeah, he is wearing white fluffy boots.

After reading this article, I am more convinced than ever that he left behind a last will and testament. The only question in my mind is this: What happened to it?

and THIS. he cared about his legacy

IF he wrote a witnessed will, the attorney would have a copy and is legally bound to come forward. IF he wrote a will himself (holographic) it would not be recognized in the state of Minnesota.

Sorry there is ZERO evidence he was working on opening PP to the public because he knew he was dying. The RS article source even says P wasn't "foreshadowing anything" with these emails. In addition we have ZERO evidence that he had organ failure. Just because painkiller use can cause it doesn't mean P had it.

Exactly. As another poster said "it's odd that he meticulously planned the opening of PP but didn't make a will" No it's not odd at all, and proves to me he wasn't planning to die anytime soon.

So there could be more emails, just nothing that would be acceptable in the court of law. I thought about that, but since I didn't receive one then, you know, Imma c my way out of it.

He could've been planning some residencies at PP. And maybe to coincide with that he would have opened it up for tours. Just a guess.

Why are we assuming he was only planning for opening PP because he knew he was dying or something? Why couldn't he open it while he was still alive?

I agree and it seems that was his intention from the moment he started designing and building it.

I think that I read something about him planning to move.

He said that he had footage in his vault of the truly erotic Prince. Maybe it is x-rated and will never come out.

Well, I made it through the entire article without shedding a single tear, even though I was listening to the damned live Syracuse '85 guitar Purple Rain solo...until the part about the elevator, the doves, and the original carpet "that he walked on".

That's where I lost it. sad

Unless you hear it directly from the named sources yourselves, you can be certain of only one thing - media misquotes ALL THE TIME. In fact, they even go so far sometimes as to quote the wrong person in articles that someone said something they didn't.

1. I love the booty shot. Just took a picture of the picture to keep it on my phone.

2. A PP residency would have been incredible.

3. A Las Vegas Cirque de Soleil Prince show. Would it be as successful as the ones for The Beatles and MJ?

4. I don't think he planned to move anywhere. He was going to live at PP for the rest of his life.

5. Wouldn't it have been great if he had taken over a Broadway theatre for a month, done 10-15 shows, to a smaller, more intimate audience? Yes, he could have sold out the Garden, but ...

I'm from the mid-20th century: I was lucky I knew how to take the pic with my phone. I am also the person who deleted multiple Prince concert videos I had taken from a phone because I thought I would see him again. I save images as I can now.

I recall a few of his women around the early 90s saying P got a kick out of filming them having sex. Maybe these sex tapes are what are in the secret room. Would make sense he wouldn't want people to stumble upon them as they're obviously so private. Can just imagine the look on someone's face as they settle down to catalog the vids
