You probably know where I'm going with this but I wonder if any of Prince's former band members are hearing these leaks and thinking how great it is to hear these after all these years?

Or even if they never heard them before? Do you think Sheila E is thinking "Did I play on that?" or Is Levi Seacer thinking "Is that my playing?" It must be a trip for them!

1984-88 had many late night club gigs and purple rain/parade/sign o times shows manufactured on vinyl and cd throughout europe....many of us who have traveled to europe have them...prince likely kept the live stuff from being formally released so warner couldn't control, or profit from, them. Some people are saying all these leaks are not new recording....are these leaks coming from the vault? If so how is this happening, if Londell is in charge of the vault

Friends, band members, record company executives, etc had these tracks for years (decades actually) and now that they aren't betraying Prince by letting them out, they are doing it a bit more, so that everyone can enjoy them. At least that's my theory. It's highly unlikely they are coming out of the Vault.

Back in the day you could by vinly of live recordings at Record and tape shows. Or in the back of Goldmine. There are hoards of these recordings and since he recorded all of this shows I am sure he gave plenty away to friends and associates.
