Strange way of thinking I think it´s a cool idea, the people who already worked for P can keep their jobs and PP can stay open en welcome the fans (P´s wish)
PP open and running cost money, so money must come in some how.... Nothing wrong with it in my opinion, P had to pay the PP bills before, now the fans will pay for PP to stay open. The other option is to shut down PP and sell it....that´s not what P wanted! So maybe you should think about that before being so negative about this. Forever in My Life....

I agree, it's a harmless way of testing what's feasible. Even if it only generates a small profit it all helps to run PP. Come now, isn't life a little better with a pair of good shoes? - Prince 1985

Well..., call me crazy because I'm interested. Yep, interested in what he smelled like, the incense and candles he used at PP, the food he ate and the books he read. If they have a gift shop with trinkets, candles, vegan cookies, knick-knacks that read "made in China" with the symbol embossed on it; I'm buying it. So I guess the estate can count on me...yes, I know I need to get a life.

I hope it is successful & could possibly develop into a non-profit restaurant/kitchen. I've read of some of the work being done in Minnie by local activists for the hungry & it would be great if this could somehow tie in with that. I think it would really serve to honor P.'s legacy. Also, after reading some of the other formus, it might be cool to offer Vegan Soul Food as many ppl seem to be clueless (esp. overseas) as to what home style American non-fast food is.

I'm stating an opinion, not being negative. If you don't agree with it, fine, but it's my opinion.....you have yours and I have mine.

I think it's a good idea. Prince employed these people that still work at PP now it's opening to the public. He would have wanted his staff to be taken care of.. plus if it opens people's eyes to the world of vegiterianism then good. I don't think he would have had a problem with it. He had a good humour about his food too and as well as a musician was good business man. Im sure he wouldn't want to see PP closed. His spirit is alive there and if making money keeps it going then good. The only thing I would like is to be able to order merchandise directly from the website. Which I can't do as I've not been able to buy my ticket to visit PO yet.

I don't have a problem with them selling food Prince would have liked served in his house, but I don't like the blatant monetization into the type of "Eat like Prince" experience. .

I'm going to have to think about this. Everyone is still a suspect to me. I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

Graceland who is in charge of the touring of PP is looking for ways to make money. That is their only reason for being there or doing any of this. If they think people are going to wanna taste the food Prince ate cooked by his personal chef then they are on it. They are fronting the money apparently as I read to get PP ready for tours and get it started. Plus if they and in turn the estate can't make money any way they can to keep PP operating and pay taxes then it would have to be sold. I'd rather see them make money how they can. To be honest, they will prob add more and more to the tours to attract visitors. After a while, the tours will slow and they will have to do more to attract people to come back. He kept all his stage clothing since he started I read somewhere so there is so much they can continue to add. They can start to bring out things from his personal living area to be viewed and eventually if the tours are slow and they need to they may even open his private living quarters; nothing would surprise me. Unless the family is adamant that it not be done.

So they can sell folks food he liked as long as they don't package it as an experience? Paisley Park is in your heart

I would have to go with SquirrelMeat on this, it's not a theme park selling gimmicks. Let's hope it doesn't turn into one anyway. Life Matters

Like it or not, Prince's diet has always been a topic. This idea could have very well came more from outside interest than the inside. Oprah talked about his diet, Arenio also, just to name a couple. We've talked about it... A LOT. Seems to me there would be more people here who would be interested in it, lol. We are all so full of here
