Living here and watching my fellow Minnesotans mourn as a community for his loss is overwhelming at times. I am a 40 "something" year old man and find myseld choked up at simply the whisper of him and other acknowledging him as I do. It's crazy. I thought at times I was alone in this and he is everywhere here. The Vikings game would have been too much to take now that I see what I missed. The State fair was amazing with the purple and symbols everywhere. It was really heart warming and heart breaking all at once. The tribute sold out in 5 minutes...I mean what the hell? I would never had expected that.

Glad I got tix for the first day of tours at PP. Right now I am feeling left out of all the rest of the events... sigh pout

Dear God, that was breathtaking! the orchestra was perfect and the vocals....man, i am bawling like a baby right now!!!! They need to be invited to the tribute! I think they would end the night perfectly with a huge production like this!! Damn! they need to record this version bc it was absolutly beautiful!!!!

i have no doubt that Prince LOVEDDDD this rendition as he smiled down on them from Heaven,

They killed the small part of the guitar solo too. Good Job gus!!!

Just when I thought I was done bawling ...
What a nice tribute! Thanks to all that shred the links, no words for the touchdown names to the scores broken

I just logged in at 10:30 WST and there are still still single seats available in all price ranges. Even the $19.99 tickets although the one I pulled up was behind the stage. Try it again!

I just went to the Ticketmaster site just to try my luck (since I can't go). I got in right away and I was offered single tickets in the highest price range to the lowest. I can't access it now though... It seems that you just have to keep trying. TM is a pain to deal with. They are known for holding back tickets and releasing them later. I got a great ticket to see Stevie Wonder two years ago the day before the concert when it was supposed to be sold out. Just keep trying!

broken bawl I shouldn't have watched right before leaving for work. Ugh (skip ahead to about the 4:00 mark)
This should have been shown on tv last night during the game. It's so good.

dang right it should have. disgraceful and disgusting that it was not in my opinion. and they are already hitting people on You Tube earlier today taking away sound siting copyrghts. telling people to dispute it and they;ll put sound back. appears a couple of folks did just that and now the audio is back up and running. ive saved the video for myself b4 they take it completely down. this needs to be out there everywhere. and it needs to be incorporated into the tribute concert but with a huge gospel choir in my opinion. can you imagine

i'm sorry it got you upset. Big HUGGGGSS TO YOU! I know how u feel i've been crying off and on all day long. just when i thought i was getting a grip on this loss. sigghhhsss.

love to you all!

I'm on my lunch break right now and I can't even watch it because I'll go back into work in pieces. I saw small clips of it last night and between it and the Emmy Awards tribute, I've been a wreck today... So depressing, but I'm so happy they gave him such honor.

lol The orchestra and that singer were good enough for me. It would be good if they had them perform at the end of the Minnie Tribute. By the way, does anyone know who that singer was? She sounded great singing Purple Rain
