Whats your favorite Prince TV appearances?

I know this topic has been discussed many times before but your opinions may have changed .I've been watching A LOT of prince appearances .some of them are great (like MTV video awards 1987 sign of the times or electric chair on SNL 1989 . Some of them are not so great ( like the performance of "dolphin" on David letterman or the awkward interview on american bandstand. I was watching the arsenio hall 2014 performances and interviewes he did and I enjoyed seeing prince helping out the audience member named Steven break up with his gf .I laughed out loud when the guy asked prince if he could sit in his lap lol
The questions asked by the audience had to be scripted .I mean infomercials ??? confused
Curious as to everyone's opinions
Oh yeah .the superbowl and "while my guitar gently weeps " performances are Honorable mentions

I liked Prince on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He did the funny bit about calling Jay and asking him about his chair needing repair. Jay then turned around and gave Prince's vehicle a hard time when they tried entering the studio grounds the next day. I believe he was appearing on the show 3 nights in a row.

I also liked when he performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Andy Allo was in the band, singing Rock and Roll Love affair.

When Prince wore the "Yellow Suit with the Butt Cheeks cut out" to show his tight - cute - little a * *, for I believe it was for an award show that Arsenio Hall was hosting, that was quite exciting!!!

I have enjoyed any performance that Prince (the genius) has put together!

I doubt if we will be viewing any performance with that much excitment anytime soon. Sooooooooo sad!! sad

nod The Leno performances are classics - particularly "Everlasting Now" & "Dorothy Parker"

AMA Purple Rain - microphone stand is iconic

And as a bit of a rarity...just for the song TFI - "Prettyman"

Hands down the 1999 Larry King interview. He was so sweet and was being such a good interview. His beard was sparkling (glitter?), his hair was long and flowing (probably had just had a fresh flat ironing! lol biggrin) I have watched it at least 40 times and I still don't know what the hell he was talking about. Iam too busy looking at him and watching his mouth/lips lol eek He took calls from fans who called in and everything. Yes lawd all was well....till Larry Graham showed up mad I was like we don't need/want to talk to him 'bout NOTHIN"!!!

Oh yeah P was promoting The Rave Unto album.

There are many amazing TV performances. Too many to name.

One of the best is Baby I'm a Star performed by Prince and The Revolution.

Was that at the Grammy Awards or American Music Awards?

Much More Music, I think it was called -- the one filmed in Toronto where he was wearing the white hat.

It was very upsetting the way the American Music Awards filmed the "Purple Medley" and the other cuts from "The Gold Experience" because it's clear that this performance was not only amazing, but that it was important to Prince at that particular time.

What do u mean by "the way they filmed it" .are u talking about the cameras cutting away from some of the dance moves ?

Yes, plus everything else. All of it deserved to be filmed very well.

Check out the footage.

Prince must of been disappointed. Especially, after that amazing groundbreaking performance...
