Prince and Marc Bolan/T. Rex While I was listening to T. Rex today, I went back to old org threads on Bolan's influence on Prince. Did Prince ever cover anything from Bolan? "Bang A Gong" has Prince written all over it. Same with "Jeepster." | |

Prince probably heard T. Rex's "Get it on" on the radio a few times and dug it, exibited bythe song "Cream." While digging around for a Marc Bolan quote I came across the following article in The Quietus by Neil Kulkarni, "Pop Fragility & Dissolution: A Marc Bolan Reappraisal" (http://thequietus.com/art...ues-review). It's pretty interesting. This writer's description of Bolan's pop muisician career sounds similar to that of Prince. | |
