It looked AMAZING on this screen. What a great venue. And they truly honored what this film means to so many people. I loved the way they handled the event. Staff was incredibly kind and accomodating. No lines waiting outside. I got there an hour before hand, and we were all let in immediately.

My only wish was that they turned it up a little more so we could really jam out to the music. But the crowd was so loving. Especially of Jill, Apples and Jerome. Eating up and being vocal about every detail! Like when Father beat up Mom and The Kid comes in looking for him " Where are you muther fucker". That part. Someone yelled "twirl" and the whole crown erupted in laughter at that very funny spin move he does there. Saying the dialogue right along with them. It was the best way to see Purple Rain. In a great venue, with true fans

Apples would say something and the crowd would applaud, and JJ would literally interupt and speak over the applause to disagree with what Apples was saying. A couple times, contradicting herself. It wasn't anything major, just made me wonder if they got along.

Albert and Robert literally bickered the entire time. One would give their account of what happened, and the other would say "that's not true" and give his account. They were like an old married couple, who were sick of one another. It was hilarious!

I thought Apples and Jill were cool especially at Vanuty's funeral. Due to the saga with Jill vs the Revolution and Apples have been invited and expected to go to First Avenue this weekend but not Jill, maybe their relationship have since been cool but they still have respect toward one another.

Oh I love seeing old folks argue hehe that tells you right there they are still as lively before. But hard to see what they were bickering about. i wish this event was film.

Yeah she is a great dancer. She bought her own dancing moves to the stage. I wished she stayed around would like to see her in Graffiti Bridge but she owned the SOTT and Lovesexy era.

It seems like a lot of Prince associates and ex-wives are living in LA now. From Mani to Mayte Judith Hill, Cat, Andre Cymone, and others. That is interesting.

They just had very different version about how everything happened. Everything! Right down to the restaurant they met at. Hahaa

Remember there was an existing script before Albert's rewrite. Albert says that after they agreed he's re-write the story, he goes to MN and robert's partner basically says, "you aren't changing anything and you will tell Prince you love it as is". Robert was like, he would never have done that!! Haha

They agreed on nothing. But we all saw it as hilarious

When Apples came out she did walk over and give JJ a hug. But, I did notice that with JJ when Apples would say something. It was weird like when she called Apples out for wearing a track suit during filming and Prince stated "yeah we're gonna fix that." But look at Apples now Anyhoo, who knows with JJ. She could be bipolar or something. Maybe subconsciously she felt pushed to the bottom again. Apples wasn't originally scheduled to be in attendance. When the event was first announced only Jerome, JJ along with the others were scheduled. Then here comes Apples in all her Purple glory. Maybe the "tension" was due to JJ subconsciously feeling "excluded" once again. Like I said, who knows with JJ.

100% Agree!

Add that to thiis being the first times has been seen or spoken since P's passing. I thought it migt have been a slight jealousy too. Unfortunately, sometimes we women can be like that with other women. But like I said, it didn't feel major. You would have been able to tell easily if they hated each other.

What's amusing is seeing Bob Cavallo jokingly disagree with Albert Magnoli about the dynamics of certain events. At one point he says, "Al, you're writing a movie here. That's now how that happened. See - he's a writer, so of course, he's going to tell it differently."

I loved hearing Marie France talk because for those that don't know, she's the woman speaking French in "Girls and Boys". I remember in DMSR (I think) that Prince liked her kind of smokey monotone voice, so he had her say a bunch of stuff and he put it in that song.

Bob seemed to be in a bit of disbelief, still, when Al tells a story about him (Al) being flown to Minneapolis, and was met by Steve Fargnoli - who was there to basically babysit Prince 24/7. Prince wanted Bob to uproot from L.A. and move his family to MN. Ergo - that's why Steve came onboard w/ Cavallo & Ruffalo. Steve met Al and said "Forget the story you told Bob. Bob doesn't know what he's doing. We're doing the original script and that's what I want you to pitch to Prince". Al's response was funny, but Bob said "I can't believe Stevie would say that." "Well he did!", said Al.

Anyway, they're all good clips to watch. I'd love to see the whole thing.

I'd wanted to attend those Purple Heart shows so badly but it wasn't in the cards for me any of the years they were held. So this Rev show is really meaningful to me for so many reasons

Jill had a reunion with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis too.

Dr. Funkenberry also hinted there was tension between JJ & Apples but didn't really spill any tea. Argh! Just tell us what you know!

A funny little thing happened last night....O7ven/The Time members Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis reunited with longtime friend Jill Jones-Mühlum. In front of a small group of people, Jimmy Jam was surprisingly shocked to see Jill in person. It is hard to surprise Jimmy Jam, but the reaction was priceless. The last time Jimmy, Terry & Jill saw each other in person was in 1983 & 1990. For those new to the origins of The Time, Jill sang on all The Time records. She also performed with us on stage during our 1st two tours. Jill, dressed in a trench coat & shared a keyboard with Jimmy Jam. Jill is an Unsung contributor to numerous albums including Prince albums Controversy, 1999 & Purple Rain. She also performed on both Vanity 6 & Apolloina 6 records. Jill also sang on the debut albums for Sheila E & The Family. It's been a difficult year for so many of us, it was a pleasure reconnecting with Jill. Who knows what may come out of this....hmmmmm #TheTime07ven (Thanks to Jill Monroe for sharing this picture of this special occasion).
