I think it would make for a pretty boring album that only shows how much Prince the songwriter has gone downhill... The only decent song on it is The Morning After, the rest is just in one ear, out the other. Sorry, getwild180, it's not your fault that Prince totally lost it as a songwriter somewhere in the 90s and he's been repeating himself ever since except for the occasional brilliant song, such as Breakdown or Way Back Home. But for every brilliant Prince song, we have to take ten to twenty boring others. That's just the way it was. His talent was all over the place. Genius one minute, silly the next. And even silly, he could be fun.

It's not your fault but yeah, to me that's a boring, lame album. The only ones I like there are the remix of rnr love affair and Free Yourself.
Keep your headphones on.

.

Yes he had an amazing run of 10-15 years as a brilliant songwriter, but just like Michael Jordan can't dunk like he used to, Prince just aged and much of his insane genius just dissipated as he grew older. I'm sure it was very frustrating for him to lose some of his "superpowers", but he always remained a superb live performer. And of course we loved him even if he lost all his talent and skills. .

.

He should still be here with us, but at least he checked out while still in pretty fine form as artist. I mean very small consolation, but it was probably easier for him in some ways although he obviously missed out on far more.

Well, I suppose that if you write so many songs, sooner or later you'll run out of new ideas. But he could still kick it. Da Bourgeoisie may not be the next When Doves Cry, but it still puts a smile on my face. cool
